Lula, I know that if I dont look after myself and eat well etc, especially in the Winter then I will quickly start to feel tired and carp. The last few winters I've suffered no more than a sniffle at season change, and that's down to my cooking good food, getting early nights and generally taking care of myself. My new rule is to get to bed by 11pm if I'm working at 9 (Im not tomorrow) and that really helps. You do LOADS so take care of you X

Rosa - that is brilliant :rotfl::T

So, I must be quick with news today & rather than get all angsty about not visiting every diary I read, or posting on the ones I subscribe to ... I've decide to update mine as often as possible, but keep it brief ( yes I can hear you thinking 'as if' :p) & try to visit all you other lovelies diaries when I have more time.

Today was a drive over to DDs to deliver passports, followed byt a tirp to town to buy some school trainers for DD. Realised the ones we bought weren't suitable & my ones that she wanted to take are a bit tatty & well, er MINE. I don't need any more excuses not to exercise :o.

Trainers cost £27.99 so on the CC, a maths set was just £1.99 so cash, parking was just £1.10 - a record minimal parking spend so we must have been there less than an hour :D.

Then back to out of town store to collect a reserved item. I decide to invest in a bit of new equipment for home-job to try to keep me motivated. That was another £27.99 on the CC but worth it - see later - Then decided we might as well stock up on cat food so that was £53.49 on the CC.

No, he's not a tiger, the food was only £14.98 but DD wanted to get him a new toy & the bug on a stick toy had a hilarious expression on it's face so I bought it & then I succumbed to the gorgeous rattan dome cat basket ... having been assured that if the beast won't go near it, I can return it.

All done, we returned home & I'd just put all stuff away when home-job driver arrived with my day's work & a hush hush offer of a private job for £15. As that pays for over half the new bit of kit, I accepted & though how karmic that was :).

Got all the work done & had our meal, DD bathed & sent to bed early in readiness for first day at BIG school & I settled down to some surveys. I've claimed a £10 amazon voucher from the site that somehow needs 4 weeks to organize an e-voucher , and received £3 in to my paypal account from another site. The lappie order has been processed & £23 cashback has tracked :j.

I know that doesn't quite equate to my spends, but it's a good effort :D.

All washing up & putting away done. All cupboards & work surfaces wiped down & the day's recycling taken out. That took just 20 minutes & if I can spend just 20 minutes on a different chore each day of the week, then hopefully I can simply tackle laundry at week ends &not have to do these marathon sessions that just sap my time, energy & mojo.

I've had a fab half hour yoga session, a soak in the bath, climbed into bed & flicked through latest issue of subscription mag & am now all ready to sleep.

Haven't decided what to wear - keen to wear news shoes but depends on weather.

Forgot mention yesterday that I added another dress to charity shop pile - admitting that it really does look like a nightie rather than fab maxi :rotfl: - but I had a Freedom Day wearing the maxi I bought last year but have hardly worn as I thought it looked a bit dressy. Stuff it - no point it hanging there waiting for an occasion, so I threw a little cardi over the top & both DDs said they loved it :).

I have to have 'lights out' by 11.30 absolute latest on a school night so gotta run now my lovelies :A. will be back to catch up with all your deeds soon ...

    G'night
    xx

Sounds much more balanced, Lula, good for you. I don't visit every thread that I'm subscribed to any more either, not even diary threads - particularly for people who post every few days, I can just catch up in one go when I've got some time. I was on here a lot yesterday because I was freaking about a ginormous beastie that appeared downstairs in the morning :o and I was trying to pretend I didn't live here :o ah well, best laid plans, hey?

Still, the principle holds :j more time = a life :)

Good evening your Royal Gorgeousness esss esss ?????

you know what I mean :D.

In all the excitement of yesterdays life rebalancing & spend declarations, I forgot to mention that I finally received a statement from Uncle Richard & have paid the final £12 owing. I also tidied up the balance on the Custard Coloured Card ... to £700. Not great, but still manageable & the El Cato has studiously ignored the lovely new basket. If I was a cat I would be delighted to be able to choose between a soft leopard print donut or a cosy dome basket to sleep in ... clearly my cat has no taste & not a lot of sense either. It's howling with wind & pouring with rain & the silly beast is outside.

So, back to the work today & having dropped a very excited & yet slightly nervous DD off at BIG school, I carried on to work. Seems like the entire population of the south east were going the same way and it took me over an hour form leaving home at 8.15, until I got to work .

The Greater Gropey & Lesser Goblin were in another office all day today :j. Grumpy went out for a couple of hours leaving me to play with the dog & the boys all came in to visit. It's funny because they all come in at different times & sit in the same chair & air their opinions, grievances & we chat about music, holidays etc. I feel as though I should have a sign saying " Auntie Lula's Coffee & Therapy Corner" :rotfl:.

Came home to hideous amounts of home-job work so ignored that for a bit & went to meet DD at pre-arranged location. She had a great day but was shattered. She had pasta for lunch followed by chocolate cake & drank her own water. The canteen staff are very firm about them all eating proper food & wont allow them to buy any crisps or dessert unless they have a main course. Apparently there are jugs of water at each table so they dont need to buy sugary drinks either :T.

I finally finished home-job work about 9, so didn't manage to do any 20 minute chores other than the usual washing up. Unfortunately the sink did not get shined though. Can catch up tomorrow :p. Ignored the tv & had another satisyfing yoga session followed by a soak in the bath with my book. Ok, it's not rock n roll, but I'm taking care of myself & my needs rather than conforming to perceived expectations. Get me & my fancy phrases !

I made sure I followed my skincare regime too so am scrubbed, serumed & moisturised & have even remembered to apply nail & cuticle moisturiser - always forget that & then wonder why my nails look like a brickie's :o.

Not a very balanced diet to day; coffee & toast for brekkie with a fizzy vitamin chaser, lunch was tuna pasta & 2 apples, then it all went a bit downhill when I got home. 2 cups of tea, more toast than I care to remember & a few digestive biccies too.

The laptop for DD arrived at work today & I've left it there so one of the clever bods can install the Office software ... when it turns up. Grumpy & Gropey are due to upgrade their i-phones when the new 5 comes out ... I'm being extra nice & helpful ;).

Thanks for all posts - Souk I'll be back on the homemade slow cooked hearty soups & casseroles very soon.

Lights out time for me, so G'night to all

    Hello Gorgeouseress :)

Digestive biccies for tea ... hmmm! But how beautifully you looked after yourself - I wish I'd done that last night :( I had a looong day for me, mercifully short 20m chat with my mum, went to bed at 10pm, but I took a book, and woke up at a crazy time with the light on, fully dressed, blah blah, you know the score. I have to stop doing that, you really wake yourself up and its *so* difficult to get back to sleep.

I'm glad DD had a good first day - *and* that the nutrition policy seems to be sensible.

** positive vibes on "redundant" iphones ** :):):)

:rotfl: There was a Grumble Spot (leaning on the photocopier)in a previous office of mine.

Glad you are prioritising you. (And if you need to get rid of any spare manic-ness, send it my way - I have gone the opposite way and am living on crisps staring at the TV when I really need to get the last bit of studying done.)
