Hey guys,
Thanks Souk & lovely to see you here - if only briefly. Hope you're back properly soon.
Taxi - thanks for popping by, I know you're busy having a life these days :j so I really do appreciate you taking the time to visit :T
Shoe Gal - the tickets were a big hitso glad I got them. I was thinking I now hold the power to get all chores done or threaten removal of tickets ... then realised DD knows there is NO WAY I would ever waste money on tickets that dont get used :rotfl:
Work was relaxed as no bossy types in, but annoying in that Gropey was on the phone every 4 minutes with some stupid question such as :
Call number 1 ) "Please check my desk to see if there's a condolence card on it " !!!!!! "no there isn't" He hangs up.
3 minutes later
Call number 2) "Please check to see if Goblin has put Highly Annoyings hosital appt on the notice board." Me : "No, she hasnt". Gropey : "I do wish she would stick to the procedures" ... pauses & then says "he cant just disappear when it suits him". !!!!!!
Me : "Well, he hasnt 'just disappeared', because he told us all he had the appt & it's been on his schedule board for over 2 weeks ..." Gropey then launches into completely irrelevant, long winded & pointless story which eventually fades when I make it clear that I am neither inerested, or bothered & frankly just wish he would go away so I can answer the other 3 lines that are now ringing
10 minute break in which I manage to make a coffee & open up MSE then ...
Call number 3) " Is there a CD on my desk " Me : " any cd in particular ... Marilyn Manson, Judy Garland, Take That ? "
No, turns out it's something work related, but I rummage on desk with distaste & planning to wash my hands as soon as I can get rid of the lunatic on the end of the phone. There's no cd. I return from the loo & sterilising hands only to find Old Timer grinning sheepishly & waving the phone about  it's the lunatic again
Call number 4 ) He was expecting a call from Cockney Rebel at half past & it's now twenty five to, please put him through immediately ...
I hear a thud outside & idly wonder if Cockney Rebel has just opted to throw himself out of the window then sit back & relax safe in the knowledge that while he's verbally torturing him, he cant be bugging me
There was just the one call after that & I did suggest that he shoud be resting, but he cant because he's too ill & had to call the paramedics out last night because he was so hot he was in the garden at 2am this morning in his jockeys ... :undecided
Way too much info. :eek:_pale_.
I eventually get rid of him & immediately book myself in for an intensive course of amnesia to overcome the trauma of the disturbing images that conjured up.
The highlight of the day was having a chat with Delicious Young Dude - only 29, & yes I know it's sooooo wrong but mmmmmmm mmmm mmm;) he asked me to pick him a horse for the Grand National ... I told him that any horse I pick is likely to end up in his dogs dinner ( sad, but truehence I never bet on horses) but did choose one, He assured me that if it won, I would never see him again
Must remember not to  when having a conversation with him, clearly it's rather frightening :rotfl:
Eventually made it back in time to collect DD & we arrived home, I loaded up wasing machine & then we didnt really know what to do with ourselves as we were all out of routine.
So, I had nosey at The Body Shop sale & got myself a fabby bargain: 4 tubs of delicious body butter at only £6 each + a code for another 25% off + free delivery + 15% cashback =
4 x tubs of Bodybutter for a mere £15.30 :j whereas one is usually £12 so a total saving of £32.70p :T
Feeling quite smug, we retreated to the garden & read our books until the sun disappeared behind the trees then came in & waited for the ice cream man to appear
Still waiting0 -

It's all going well so far
Gave DD laptop to play with so I coudnt use it & had to get on with chores. Hanging washing out in the garden is great. Neighbours were cutting grass & told me of fab Tatco bargain on extension lead. My garden is about 80ft from house so need about 3 extension leads to reach end of garden
They picked up some fabby new retractable extension lead priced at £25 & then when they got to till it went through at £1.50 :j.
I was half tempted to whizz up there later but had to get on with chores. 5 mintues ago neighbour knocked on door & handed me an extension lead. It's amazing & only £1.50. Have posted the bargain on grabbit board for everyone to see
Lovely lovely neighbours ... cant get out of doing grass now.
Off to tackle more stuff now0 -
My list is similar LulaBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
great bargain0

What a lovely day it's been here - sunny & hot with just a bit of breeze.
I scorched through chores this morning then we headed to the co op as it was far too nice to get in the car when we could just wander to local shops.
I ended up spending £18.38 on bits & have to confess that a lot of that was on naughty things like mini sausages, cakes, crisps & ice creams. I now have £11.62 left for this week but I'm sure it will be fine.
We had lunch in the garden & I was quite happy to just doze off in the sun while DD read her book but the drone of kind neighbours lawnmower guilted me into getting started on the grass cutting. I emptied the box thing 6 times & the compost bin is now overstuffed but the garden looks good. It will look even better when I have beds of lush veg but I'm not overdoing it this week end when I have 11 days off to get all veggies sown & planted out. Briefly contemplated having a bonfire, then decided to postpone that as well.
I've dragged the trunk out & have made a start on sorting through summer clothes. There were a few items that I wasnt sure if I wanted to keep when I packed them away, but I now know that I definitely dont want them & I'm happy to let them go. I am finding it easier to get rid of things now & just want that clutter-free home again.
Tonight I'll be watching the lovefilm dvd & then tomorrow I'll be doing the final 2 loads of laudnry, the ironing, cleaning the bathroom & then hope to be out in the garden again. If I can face it we might attempt a bike ride too.
I'm away to update my siggy now
G'night.0
