    Hi Lula

things are good here thanks, Easter hols means no trekking to and from college so time is being put to much better use sleeping and catching up on house stuff. Not quite back to FlyLady but almost. Seeds on windowsill, meals planned and digging to be done during the week followed by seasonal clothes swop at weekend.

Love the sound of your garden centre - am getting most of my stuff from Wilko's at the moment as you're right the centres are vastly overpriced.

Sending you peaceful and happy vibes for tomorrow *searches for appropriate vibe-sending smiley, gives up, decides cool happiness and chocolate should help anyway*:love::EasterBun

    Hi Rosa,

good to hear that you're enjoying your time off college, you do sound very busy though ... make sure you get some rest too. Thanks for the chocolate - always appreciated :A

I very nearly did my seasonal clothes swap at the weekend, but didnt get around to it, will pencil that in for my week off. I am sooo looking forward to it.

Well last weeks 'How to prove to your boss that you're a complete girl, by fleeing work on the verge of tears after being verbally mauled by the demented troll' challenge was a resounding succes :o

The simultaneous 'How to show the boss what a reliable, thick skinned, stoic employee who can face up to every challenge & is therefore worthy of extra hours & a juicy payrise' opportunity, wasn't quite so glorious.

I seem to be attracting collisions whenever I head to the Hellmouth these days. Traffic was crawling along this morning & it got even slower when the dozy mare in front of me decide to drift straight into the back of the car in front of her :(. It was just the tiniest bump & what was curious was that she just put her hand up to the guy as if to say "whoops, silly me, sorry". She wasnt going to stop. He pulled over & revealed that his brand new shiny car now had the number plate, light over it & half the bumper hanging off . I took the opportunity to turn around at the next road & head straight back the way I came & journey along another route.

I eventually arrived & Boss was all friendly, other guys a bit wary & on entering the office the Demented Troll was sat on it's bridge & proffered a 'morning' in an optimistic way. I gave the briefest of responses & set about getting on with my work & ignoring her with equal determination.

The atmosphere was rather thick & to be honest I has been expecting an apology, or at the very least an admission of overreacting & unnecessary defensive behaviour. & had it been offered in a sincere way, I would have accepted it. No one wants to work in a hostile environment & I'm happy to admit that I've been a bit over reactionary with Highly Annoying or Cockney Rebel at times ... the difference is, I knew I was in the wrong & made sure I apologized. He's done the same to me & that is how normal people go about business.

Sometimes we're tired or stressed or frustated & we let that slip through our professional coating & vent on our colleagues. Design Dude has had a few rants at me, but he has always apologised after & we get on brilliantly because I know it's not personal. That s the difference. The troll attack was personal & without an apology, I will not be wanting to defrost cordiality any time soon.

All this has been greatly beneficial to home-job boss who although unaware of all the drama, sent me a text asking if there was any way I could do some work for her. I saw no reason to refuse as DD has her head back in the Twilight series of books & the alternative way for me to spend the evening was by doing some hoovering or cleaning the bathroom _pale_. I couldnt get home quick enough :D.

Yet another Joe Browns book arrived & I felt like calling them up to say that yes, I did get the first one thanks, no need to send another, it wont make me order anything quicker :p.

I've paid the council tax & am not quite sure how I'm going to pay all the other things that need to be paid as the next essential bill is for the lovely childminder. I will need to buy fuel before that though as it seems to be disappearing quickly. The sooner that new 0% CC arrives, the better.

Only another 3 days at the Hellmouth to go ...

    G'night
    xx

Sounds grim, to say the least. Hope today is better. Got any desk drawer chocs to help you though?

Somewhere on this site there are some tips on achieving fuel economy - they probably involve things like not putting your foot down, driving slowly and at a steady pace...very dull but very :money:

Hmm, not very positive at all.

An apology should have been a minimum!

Oh well, as you said, now two days left in the week!
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

    Hello lovelies,

my mood is lifting at work, whether I like it or not Grrr. The guys in production are just such fun, they never fail to make me laugh :A.

We have a safe pathway marked out in yellow paint for people to walk through the 'dangerous area' if they're not wearing steel toe caps. It's essentially for visitors & my ridiculous shoes :D

The old-timer & I play a game where I try to sneak through the shortcut way without him catching me & telling me off. I rarely win, & today he got some yellow tape & changed the route markings so I had to stop in one area & then jump 3 feet sideways to rejoin the path :rotfl:

Goblin & I were civil & she left early so after lunch it was much more relaxed. Gropey told Cockney Rebel that he had given Goblin a 'disciplinary' & was supporting me. I think that's bull, but he's really not well at the moment & is coping with all responsibility while Grumpy is off so we havent even mentioned 'it' & I'm not going to pursue it, am just getting on with work. Frankly, I'm just relieved I wasnt put under pressure to leave.

I just need to remember that some people are only pretending to be nice so that they can !!!!!! on you when you least expect it & although I need to be more wary of this type, life really is too short to be bearing grudges that use up my own energy, & anger is not good for health.

I'm ashamed to say that the chocolate drawer has just one lonely little crunchie left in it :o. I'll be ripping into that tomorrow & frantically replacing stock at the weekend ;).

I had 3 hours of home-job to do when I got in, a lazy pasta dinner & then watched Benders & had a discussion with DD about which characters we'd like as neighbours. Our choice was Kim - hilarious :rotfl: Tania, Saeed & Christian, Shirley ( would take her in to work as protection:D) & Alfie, Kat & Jean.

Realised that I seriously need to get out more; so we whizzed up to Tatco for fuel & spent £43.45. Drove home very carefully & mindfull of all the tips about saving fuel. I'm pretty good at using the gears ( yes, I have seen all the Fast & Furious films & know that you have to keep changing up & down every 2 seconds to make it more exciting :rotfl:)

I dont have a roofrack, have never used my aircon - that's what the sunroof is for :o & the only things I carry around in the boot are a petrol can, jump leads, bunjee strap, small spade, picnic blanket & pair of boots. I do have an obsession with filling the car up though. I just like to feel that at least once a month we could go anywhere. As I dont go past a petrol station en route to anywhere, I would also have to do a 3 mile round journey each week to get the fuel so dont think that's very economical ... unless I do my shopping at Tatco every week :eek:_pale_ :rotfl:

I did however combine our refuelling trip with a stop off at post box to post CC credit agreement & then stopped in to the co op to pick up what could well be the smallest loaf of bread in the world. It's tiny, but was a mere 50p & will last until friday when I get my new week's allowance :j. Slight problem with having just put the allowance in the fuel tank, but will work something out.

I forsee home-job being an essential ingredient in this month's solvency plan. I was going to take the week that I'm off work-job as a holiday from home-job too, but cant be turning down work that doesnt even require me to get dressed, let alone leave the house so am not even mentioning it :silenced:. Although gig tickets are paid for, I will still need train fares & there's bound to be some merchandise DD will want. It does however, mean that I can be a bit more skinty on the easter eggs. Well, for DD anyway ;).

I now have £2.95p left of my weekly allowance & am thinking I might start up another pot into which I can put all the money I have left out of my grocery allowance each week.

    You can stop laughing now.

Hoping for a NSD tomorrow :D

    Thanks Buffy,

It's easily said in retrospect :)

I didn't feel like that at the time, but am going to try hard to live like that from now on. I've spent far too much of life being angry & holding on to grudges & all I have to show for it is damn frown lines :(

Learn now while you have a smooth forehead my lovely ;)

I believe potential troll remedies include sunlight, lightning and billy goats... not yet sure which combo best for an office situation :D

Good to hear that boss is on your side though. And think you're being very sensible about it all.

Gosh, it feel like ages since I posted.

What a glorious day yesterday was. Well, for those who managed to see it anyway.

I had a quite nasty day, in that the only thing worse than being stuck in an office on a hot sunny day when you have nothing to do is ... being stuck in a an office with just the unrepentant, smug Goblin for company :(. Gropey didnt come in, too ill. He didnt come in today either and as I am in tomorrow & Goblin isn't :j:j:j, lets hope he doest decide to appear.

Have told the boys that I'm in charge so everyone is to come in wearing shorts ( purely for my pleasure ;)) bring beer & then we're all off for a picnic at local park :rotfl:

I had hours of home-job work to do & didnt finish until after 9pm so was very tired & grumpy. I have earned enough to repay what I've borrowed from funds recently. I havent declared totals for ages & it helps to keep me on track ( or stop cheating)

    Funds Totals:

    Presents £120
    Clubs £ 35
    Fun £ 50
    Clothes £ 60

I havent ( yet) added to the online funds this month or repaid the £70 I borrowed to cover the potential overdraft charges so in fact owe a rather sobering £220 there.

Also bear in mind that I have borrowed £1600 from the ISA & I aim to repay before the end of the year. I will clarify which particular year ( school, pagan, calendar or financial) once my repayment schedule has been hatched ;)

Whilst I might be technically debt free in that I dont owe money to anyone else, I do owe myself the best part of £2000 .

I knew that clearing the debts was just the first step & I also knew that things would be tight for about a year after too as there just a lot of things that I actually do need to buy or spend money on.

In spite of having borrowed ISA money for a good reason, in the back of my mind, I cant really save for fabby new things ( yes Dan, a camper van is the plan :p) until I have repaid that lost cash.

Hence my certainty that I need to be here for a time yet while everything settles into place.

More news to follow but off for an early bath now ...

    I have earned a whole £44.08p in interest :D.

This is a new thing for me & I quite like it. I like earning money by doing nothing other than stashing it away in savings accounts & not spending it. It's a warm cuddly feeling & I hope to feel it again ... in another year's time :rotfl:.

I have also earned myself another £3 payment into my paypal account, but I did actually have to hit buttons in a survey stylee to earn that.

All these riches have been offset somewhat by having to buy SATS revision guides for DD. I am so awestruck with admiration at her enthusiasm for learning maths & wanting to do well that I would willingly have paid double. She is terrrified of doing badly as the results are sent to High School & the children are then streamed accordingly ... the fear of being in the set with the child that eats everything ( no, not just food, I mean everything) & the one who's parents decided to name their children after various makes of car / bike ( Daewoo, Triumph, Vauxhall ?) has turned my girl into a super-spod. She's making me learn with her & am I smarter than a 10 year old ? Not yet :rotfl:

At the end of my first housekeeping budget week I can declare that I still have £2.95 left.

This momentous amount of cash will be going into a new pot tomorrow.

I have £5 pocket money for myself this week :j.

I strongly urged DD to tidy her room tonight & promised to see if I could find any tickets to see the band. I have wrapped them up & hidden them under her lunch box so if you hear a piercing shriek at about 8am tomorrow morning, dont worry; it's just the sound of pre teen elation :).

    G'night
    xx
