Oh heck, wish I'd never started now ... just spent half an hour looking at those photos ... gorgeous they are too :). I really love photographic exhibitions, probably more than any other form of display that cant be touched.

On a more serious note though, things like that pathway to here make me very aware of how important my anonymity is to the 'public' side of MSE. Grumpy always says how secretive I am, but I just dont feel the need to share all my doings with peeps at work. I like to keep some areas of my life separate from others. He's often googled my name & gets quite annoyed when he cant find anything :p.

Back to business; I have worked hard this weekend & did manage to get the leeks planted. As I had to go out to gather in the washing, it seemed an opportune time to take the leeks out. Besides, I'm rather fed up with having them on the window sill. We planted & watered but some look really weedy so will just have to hope that at least half make it & flourish.

After that I got the ironing done while DD made a cake :j We ate it after supper while still warm with some of the bargainous tinned peaches I bought ages ago & some yoghurt. Too delicious & I haven't done any exercise at all this weekend :o. Will have to work extra hard during the week.

While DD was in the bath I grabbed a chance to sort through her clothes & managed to liberate more school shirts with an age 6-7 label & some other clothes she's grown out of. So busy was I, that I forgot to bid on an item I've been watching on ebay :rotfl:. Obviously didnt want it that much.

So pleased with the grand paperwork decluttering & really think those readers digest books will have to go ...

Not all CC transactions have been applied to the account yet, so will wait to make a payment. Looking forward to seeing what my cashback is for this month as I've already done over £1800 on the CC ... calm down, I've also paid over £400 back :p.

Next week will be a busy one as working home-job 3 days as well as usual work-job hours. More money to pay for stuff though.

Going to update my Task List now.

Totally agree with you on the anonymity, Lula - I mentioned the name of the town I now live in a *lot* when I was considering where to move, and I am wondering about going back through old threads and deleting the name, changing it to XX or something....

Your decluttering sounds terrific! Do you *feel* like you have more space? And your list crossings are terrific too - as you say, the paperwork took ages.

Gorgeous peeps I've missed you but I've been doing good things all week :D.

3 days of double work starting at 9am & finishing at 9.30 pm means all I did was have a bath & fall into bed after.

Granted, there was the glass of chablis incident last night but at 12.5% vol I barely managed to finish the glass. I have found some super cheap rose today though but first lets back up a bit.

    Monday = NSD 9 + I received £3 payment via paypal.

Tuesday = small spend day - had to collect parcel from post office ( new phone for DD) so popped into chemist to buy new lipgloss as simply cannot scrape another lips worth out of old one. I spotted anti histamine on a bogof in there & as DD still gets itchy gums when eating apples I decided it was a worthy spend. Total in there was £8.78

Next stop the co op as a milk & bread crisis was about to occur; that turned into a £6.19 spend.

Wednesday = NSD 10 & the introduction of a new feature of our home-life which I have named 'Random Supper Night' .

The rules are simple; first you need a hungry 11 year old who is on the verge of accepting that her mother is not & never will be a willing & thrilling cook, hence eating what is offered is the best plan unless keen to self cater.

Secondly, you need a very small fridge in which there are a collection of edible items in varying stages of decay & you then create something vaguely nutritious from said items.

This weeks Random Supper was a couple of sprouty potates with the sprouty bits removed before DD saw, covered with half a jar of leftover chicken sauce & topped off with some left over beans with a sprinkling of parmesan.

After that delish feast, there were nutella rolls - bread spread with crusts cuts off & spread with nutella then rolled up.

I had an omelette & glass of chablis. :p

I was in a very cheerful mood yesterday as Cockney Rebel requested my help on something & I then spent the entire day with the boys & did no work whatsoever as was too busy laughing & trying to keep my make up on my face. Emigrating guy is hilarious & I was crying with laughter. There's a company booze up in town next week & I have DD1 all ready to mind DD so am bracing myself for the challenge of a night out with the boys ... apparently Goblin is going too but I'll just ignore her ;)

Today was an equally joyous day; got paid for home-job & earned well this week so have topped up essential funds & have some pocket money too :j. Will need that for booze & train fares next week.

Goblin is on hol til next week & Gropey is a completely different person when she's not around. Grumpy on the other hand, is being a right miserable grumpy old git & I think he's suffering from attention deficit. I've been in another office with the boys for 2 days, & he's not getting any attention from me. Tough, they're fun & the joy of not being stuck with a trio of middle aged old miseries has been akin to having a Gordon on my desk :rotfl:.

Techie guy came in today & has given his second opinion on the old lappie. He concurs that it is indeed dead beyond economical repair. He admitted to being surprised as he'd really thought I was just being groomed to buy a new one by repair guys. It was strangely comforting to know it was true. He tried to buy a new logic board, but apparently british ones are like hens teeth & so he reckons the best thing to do is to strip it down for selling for parts on ebay & if lucky I might get up to £100 for them. He's happy to do it for me which is great :T

Gropey heard all this & was very sympathetic & said he felt really sick on my behalf. He thought it was hilarious that I'd spilt the last Gordon over it so couldnt even have a drink to drown my sorrows. I said that I was up for any over-time available in order to replace the Gordon & he roared with laughter.

As I was leaving, he said that as so many peeps were off site tomorrow, could I possibly go in to help out ? Recognising a kind gesture to help me recoup some lost cash, & that I may as well milk all the opportunities to gain some ground & credit while Goblin away,I agreed :D.

I whizzed to sainsbugs after work - that's turning out to be a really avantageous move - & did a whole load of shopping, mixing up the basics with other stuff & loads of fresh fruit & salad stuff & spent a total of £44.52. This does bring the grocery spends to a naughty £210.57 & still another 11 days to payday but ... I'm spending less than if I were going to waitrose & getting a lot more bang for my buck.

I checked the quidco drip fund & have overestimated the amount somewhat ... there's now £194.15p in it &any cash gained by sale of old mac parts will go towards it.

I added a £2 coin & 3 x £1 coins to the sealed pot & have a fair amount of cash in my purse so might find a few more head that way soon.

Due to working tomorrow, it shoud be another NSD.

Too late now, so I'm off to bed.

    G'night all
    xx

I was wondering too .... but those are long hours, of course you haven't been on here. You're doing really well, Lula! I like the Random Supper as well as the hard-working stuff.

Not if I get a chance not to ;)

Very quiet day at work, Grumpy, Gropey & Wet Dad ( nice guy, but sooooooo wet ) all out doing some client visiting, so just me, Old Timer & Young Cute Design Dude in. YCDD came in for a chat & thought it might be a good time to have a holiday as sooo quiet at work. Checked out some golfing mini-breaks for him & his mate & was glowing when he said that I should go along too so they can train me up to play :j. Did they mean golf perhaps ?

    * wonders if DD might notice if I disappear for a few days & ponders -yet again- the disadvantages of being the sole parent *.

On their return, Gropey asked if there was any post, I said I'd go check but that I wasnt allowed to open it. He looked puzzled & said that he'd given me approval. At which point I reached for a large imaginary knife & as I lunged towards Goblins imaginary back I replied sweetly that she had overruled that. He went a funny shade of purple & grimaced that no one overrules him .

I know, it was a cheap shot, but so, so opportune & I enjoyed it :o.

Come Monday, when he realises that no jobs have been put on to the new computer system because she was determined to control it all & in spite of telling him that she had a procedure set up for while she was off, she hasn't done anything & no one else knows how to, I shall be twisting that knife too.

In between now & then, I will be scurrying about looking for more stuff to charitize to offset the bad karma caused by my vengeance.

Came home at 1 as the boredom was making me dizzy.

2 loads of washing all done & the hoovering too. Home is still tidy so just laundry & kitchen & bathroom to do this weekend.

Feeling racked with guilt at even thinking how much fun a hol with 2 cute guys would be; when DD came home earlier than expected with the news that the previously delayed for 2 weeks piano lessons, were now postponed for at least another month, I gave her the phone :). I am now officially the best mother in the world. Ever :D.

Can I go on holiday with cute guys now please ?

Feel very sorry for piano teacher, but not happy at not getting any notification & am now expecting a full refund. No way will DD be getting all 10 lessons in before the end of term.

No exercise done all week apart from a 20 minute yoga session :o so as soon as I've dropped DD off at Guides tonight will get on with a fitness workout.

DD just informed me that other mum can do a take to club tomorrow night, but not pick up. Dammit, was hoping to get some booze training in :( wont be able to start until about 10pm now.

NSD 11 completed & will be getting started on booze training later. Brace yourselves for incoherent late night ramblings ...

    ;)

    Booze training :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Sorry you were bored at work this morning - they wanted you to go in because of the load, didn't they? How bizarre...

And norty, norty Lula, to be so vengeful :p I don't see how you can resist, personally, when they're all being so mad :D
