:rotfl:
Wow to Florence & Frida ... *feels a bit inadequate:D*
First load of laundry being blow dried courtesy of Mama Natura & second one being washed courtesy of modern technology.
Just realised machine is now 7 years old & have been paying a small amount of £30 for the last 3 years to cover it & have made the monumental decision not to bother to renew when it runs out in November ... only discovered this due to paperwork clear out & now expect to be buying a new machine come December :rotfl:
Another cup of coffee in progress ( at another table far away from lappie though) & the remainder of the paperwork to be done before laundry machine finishes.
Bizarre & yet possibly interesting fact :
It seems I have been wearing clothes to suit my laundry cycles, rather than the other way round . Largely due to the colour of DDs uniform & my boring adherence to black linen trouser uniform at work.
Taking on board what RosaBernicia has said about wearing black, I didn't at all last week ... hey presto, one less laundry load to do
If you think I'm ocd about my colour coded paperwork filing system, you can only imagine how militant I am about my colour coded laundry :rotfl:

You're not the only one. Last time I had a washing machine things had to fit into the white wash, the grey/pale blue or the black/dark grey. Anything that didn't tended to accumulate in the laundry basket.0 -
Thanks se999 - I feel a bit less odd now
It does make sense in some ways, but can become a bit obsessive
Brief update as I need to keep doing them or I'll just wander off & get distracted.
All laundry now done - by the time I hung the second lot out, ithe first lot had dried. It's so windy here today but no sign yet of the rain that was promised.
Noticed that cat kept trying to find a way on to the veg patch & I think I will eventually have to buy some type of raised containers that can have hoops & wires attached to protect them. Growing our own is a work in progress so it can evolve as when necessary.
Magic airing cupboard now stuffed with neatly folded items ready to be ironed later, last night's washing up finally done & just waiting for DD to put it all away ... apparently she's digesting her lunch. This cunning technique also permits simultaneous room tidying avoidance but comes with the penalty of lack of pocket money.
Next task is to finish the paperwork & then it's the veggie planting.
Will report back when done ...0 -
We lived in a high cat population area, I used to put prunings from prickly plants on the bare soil, the cats knew that it was silly to go near them and left it along. The only downside was avoiding getting scratched yourself when weeding.0

:rotfl: - just put stitches in a couple of wrap-front dresses to remedy that situation. Poppers between buttons has also been known... that and the every-shade-of- camisole collection.

Back again,
thanks se999 for the cat deterrent suggestion, will bear it in mind
Hi Rosa :hello: I've never worn wrap dresses for that very reasonbut might just go with the camisole suggestion for now as it seems I only have huge silver poppers in the sewing tin + feeling too lazy right now.
I have finally sorted through all the paperwork & wow was it a shocker. I have culled 19 years worth of bank statements down to just 2. I would happily cull the Lloyds account altogether , but haven't yet got around to investigating another that would suit my purpose.
I now have yet another 4 inch deep pile of papers to be burned ... to add to the previous 4 I already had. Must do a bonfire, must do a bonfire, must do a bonfire.
The folders have all been rearranged & categories re allocated to make more sense & now all fit into the one basket. I would really like them to all go on the bottom shelf of the bookcase but that space is still currently being occupied by the entire set of readers digest books that my dad acquired for DD.
She was thrilled, as you can imagine, & regularly peruses them, in between drinking ginger pop & having spiffing adventures with the other famous five. Bless him, they are great books but would be far better if they were at his house & not mine.
I really should get outside now to bring the washing in & plant out those leeks. It finally looks as though it might rain. I'm running out of energy now & still have to do the ironing. I might just manage some exercise later tonight, but I'm afraid rellies are out of luck this weekend.

I just googled it ( yeah i am bored) and this thread is about the 4th one down..so must have been busy because there is a flickr photo stream as the first one.
What has he been doing?
Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0
