Hello again se999,
lurking is perfectly acceptable, I just that I hadnt seen you about for a while. Glad that all is ok & hope you had nice easter break too

I've not posted much on the CCC recently other than to link to a great article about the earthly cost of too much clothes shopping but I too have been having a few freedom days & on monday I was told I looked 'very 50's glamorous' by one of the guys at work. I was particularly chuffed as apart from a bought from new plain black 3/4 sleeved scoop neck top I was head to toe in ebay - wild poppy print skirt, black pointy shoes & black bag - total outfit cost certainly no more than £20 .
I've no more chores to report but was pleased to receive a free lovefilm today - last week they sent me back the one I'd just returned & I was not happy. One Twilight film is quite enough :rotfl: so we have a freebie for this weekend.
Still no word from the Inland Revenue re the mystery money but I did get a 15% off an online purchase form M&S. Apparently I havent used the service for ages & they want to encourage me. I dont like the delivery cost but do have a £25 gift card stillunused so might see if there's anything I want.
Other good news is that the phone I just ordered for DD tracked at £5 cashback via quidco so in reality it has only cost me £35 - £15 cheaper than in the shop :T.
The laptop case has also tracked ... but only at £1.35. Turns out that a shiny white i-phone is worth £40 cashback  ...
* ducks flying spiked turnip & runs *
Spiked turnip duly lobbed missus:p:rotfl:
A thought for M&S- do they charge for delivery to store? If not get it delivered to your local store and if they use quidco well even more pennies in the pocket:DBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
 It wasn't my fault - I Googled "laptop" and "condoms" and I ended up here by accident
That really made me laugh:D:rotfl::rotfl:Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Funny ... although I do wonder why you were searching that particular combination  Best not to pry.
I've done an awful lot of number 12 on my task list, but not much else & am now trying to motivate myself to leak the plants / plant the leeks.
Trouble is I'm a fair weather gardener & these great big grey clouds keep hurling themselves about & it makes the outdoors a cold blustery place whereas in here it's warm & not at all windy.
I've just had a rather delicious lunch of omelette with little chunks of the new philadelphia with grilled peppers ( it is delicious & has actually replaced 90% of my buttery requirements. I have it on ryvita for a snack, on jacket potatoes rather than butter & cheddar, on pasta mmmmmmm) & some chives & tarragon. Followed by some tasty little strawberries with a sprinkling of demerara sugar & some natural yoghurt. Strawberries were half price in my favourite shop & now I've told you that I'll have to confess to that which I have been trying to avoid.
I went there last night while DD was at the party & I spent £25.83 in there bringing my household spends to £154.40p. About a fiver was on cleaning stuff & another £6 was on bbq charcoal - dont ask me why or how a huge bag of charcoal managed to sneak in the trolley & secrete itself amongst the strawberries, bananas & anti-bacterial wipes ... but it did.
It probably did it whilst I was fondly gazing at the handy list holder on the front of the trolley.
Moooooving on; I have completed a lot of surveys today, read rather a few pages of my book, managed to get dressed - that is a major achievement in itself - & also received the trees worth of paperwork from the Tax Credits peeps. The sad thing is, I care not a jot about how they work it all out, what they base the figures on blah blah blah, all I want to know is how much I qualify for each month ie 'show me the money'. Thankfully, it seems that enquiring about childcare costs was the right thing to do as this means that I have only had £50 a month reductions rather than what I was expecting. Overall, there's not much difference in my income as I do get slightly more salary due to the increase in tax threshold.
The good thing about all this is that the unexpected payment last week was additional to the usual amount so I can still make another payment to the CC. I'm using it for everything & keep forgetting that I need to pay back my regular spending. This weeks' 'regular spending' came to £213.67 .
Of course that's not regular spending as fortunately, I dont fill my car up every week & nor do I buy phones or laptop cases. I have still managed to spend spend under £50 on the household stuff thoughand let's just forget that I was meant to be on a reduced allowance this week.
What I'm trying to say is that overall, I have increased the CC balance by £100 & come monday, I need to pay some off it. Quick.
I have just made a full payment to Uncle Richard for the final instalment of the killers tickets so that balance is now £0000.00 again although this doesnt stop them from offering me seductive 0% balance transfer rates which would be very attractive if I still had long term bad old debt.
Enough waffling, I need to complete tasks as I just know that fedupandskint has not only done all hers, but created an entire weeks worth of meals & studied as well.
I'm such a laaaaazy lounge lizard.

Where, when, what time ?
And as for you Miss KarmacheekyCat - I'll have you know if it was close enough I'd try it. Honest I would. I think :undecided
I'll try anything once.
Well, almost anything
I've been busy, cleaning, mopping, drinking coffee & eating penguins & trying to get DD to tidy her room *sighs*.0
