KC - I'm just relieved that you're here, was wondering whether perhaps I had posted something that offended you - although I know it's not possible to post on all diaries all the time. I've had to resort to ljust urking on a few as my subscriptions were running over 2 pages.

Thanks to all for supportive posts re the lappie & not scolding me for stupidity.

I've put my money where my mouth is & earlier on we headed to the 'nameless place'. I had a feeling ti woud be deserted tonight & it was. I also recognised that a trip there tonight woudl mean a lie- in tomorrow - always a good plan ;). There were about 6 cars in the car park & about 10 people in the store. Lovely :D.

DD found a bedding set that she loves & although it's not the colours she originally claimed to want ( & that we've been unable to find anything she likes in) it is really lovely & very patriotic colours too. She's keen for me to attempt to dye the curtains she already has & if it doesnt work, then it will be easy enought to buy some plain ones.

I also bought a £3 pack of mixed lobelias whiich I love as they spread to fill gaps in the garden & another £7 on some juice glasses. Apparently it's not the norm to drink your morning orange juice out of a wine glass :p

So, not many bogofs or bargains to be had, but then again I just need to stick within my weekly budget & discounting bed linen, glasses, plants & my personal bits (£10.16 to come off my pocket money allowance) then the total for groceries, household & toiletry items was a very respectable £39.14 of which £9.15 was on essential toiletries, so a mere £30 on food. Although I do wonder if strawberry cornettos, kola cubes & 8 packs of chewy mints can be classed as food :D.

Never mind; we have food & toiletries & tomorrow I will pay off the amount spent on the CC tonight. I earned points on the shopping & cashback on the CC . Need to concentrate on getting the balance on that back down to just the Home Improvements expenditure. Any grocery or fuel spends are to be paid off asap as when the 0% runs out & the Home Improvements are paid off, this CC will revert to being my everyday payment method that is cleared each & every month.

So annoying having to sit at desk in living rooom to post, rathern than the comfort of my jamas & bed, that pleasure alone is worth replacing the lappie for ;)

I need my bed so bye for now
    xx

Pah, I say drink whatever you like out of wine glasses especially if it's not actually wine... somehow aqua libra in a wine glass feels much more elegant and rewarding than equally virtuous stuff in a tumbler.

Or maybe it's just me lol - blonde and easily fooled :D

No, I quite agree - love my water in a wine glass ... DD says she feel ridiculous though ;)

Ha ha, I'm the reverse, mostly drinking wine out of juice glasses. It just feels safer somehow.

I also have a set of plastic wine goblets which are great, hold lots and no fear of breaking if you drop them.

Every so often I do get my nice wine glasses out but it always frightens me!!!!
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

Of course not :eek::eek: though I have to laugh at your subscriptions running to two pages.... mine go to eight :rotfl::eek:

Well, it sounds like you've been beating yourself up quite enough. And you know, accidents really do happen.

Interesting on the glasses - I don't really care what I drink out of, and certainly not enough to buy a particular type :D but at DD's age, that sort of thing matters, I guess, it happens younger and younger...

Hope today is peaceful for you, Lula.

Eight pages of subscriptions ... eeeek ! I wouldnt have time to do anything else !

Just popping in for a quick hello & then off to whip up a curry for our 'last supper' on the old cooking machine then will return with proper update.

I'm very hard on glasses, tend to break about 3 a month & we generally have long ones or wine glasses but having small ones is a bit more money saving as DD can get through a lot of juice ;)

I do have vessel issues, cannot bear to drink anything out of a plastic beaker & only hot drink out of mugs. Weird but there you go. I'm the opposite with china though, would happily just eat of a bowl ;).

    Back later ...

Ah, that makes a diff. I think I broke one last year, but honestly it doesn't happen very often.

Oh, I'm with you on both of those - tho I did have very nice champagne out of plastic flutes at the wedding (while we were wandering about in St James Park). I only meant I don't mind what sort of *glass* I drink out of if I'm having juice or an alcoholic drink. Tho I don't have any brandy glasses, so they're off the list :rotfl:
