13 Moons part 2 - Freebird & Frugabulous

Bob - many thanks for your very sensible thoughts on the grocery spends. I will try harder, honest I will
.
Dan - hello again, Gordon is with me tonight so you'll have to find someone else to play with.
Thanks for your sensible thoughts on family matters. I really do get myself worked up over things & they're rarely as bad as I think they'll be. Finances were not even mentioned & the 'significant' date was only mentioned briefly & I managed to acknowledge it but without getting drawn into a deeper conversation. All good then
This afternoon we had our bbq & it was fab - if I do say so myself. It's only the third time we've used the big beast bbq I bought last year & although I do admit that size wise, it's better suited suited to a person with a wider circle of friends & a far more active social life than me, we certainly dont go hungry :rotfl:.
There is something very satisfying about cooking & eating outside & it please me greatly.
Another thing that pleases me, is having sowed my carrot & parnsip seeds :j. If anything actually grows, I will be delighted. Astounded, but delighted. I could really get into this home growing. There's something very deeply fulfilling about digging over a patch of earth, preparing it by removing all the stones, weeds & roots, adding a bit of compost, popping all the seeds in, gently covering them with a layer of soil & then watering them in.
Obviously, having done the last bit with great care & attention, there was a torrential downpour within a couple of hours. It was savage; lightning, thunder, wind & fabulous glorious splodges of giant rain. DD jumped into her wellies & rushed outside to dance about in it. I just hope my little seeds havent been washed away :undecided
I'm now looking forward to having my last 2 lie ins before the return to the bad place on tuesday. No plans for tomorrow other than helping DD eat her chocolate - my aunt sent a cheque for DD for easter eggs, but I'm putting it in the bank to add to the laptop fund.
Nearly a whole Gordon has slipped down while I've been typing this so I'd better find something to soak it all up.0 -

Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -

I have now hidden all the mini eggs for DD to find tomorrow. I took the precaution of writing down where I've hidden them all ... last time I hid them after playing with Gordon (gin, not gnome) I forgot where & we were randomly discovering them for weeks after ! I'm still not sure how one got into the shed though. Even more impressively, I've only sampled one. So far.0

I tend to avoid most fizzy stuff for the same reason, but this warm weather & tropical rainfall we had earlier has made me realise that anti-malarial precautions would be wise
Yes, I'm sticking with that one.0 -
Hmm had never thought of it that way before. I did think about the extra *windage* being used to annoy Mr.B- (especially if he is snoring again- which he is as i can hear him down here) It would be a sweet revengeBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

A revenge both sweet & cunning.
Sympathy on the snoring OH, pretty unbearable
Another good reason for continuing to live solo
Gordon has numbed my brain, so time to rest it for a while,
G'night0
