Morning
Just wanted to say: keep going, you can do it! You've only been doing this for a month and you have already shifted around £400 of your debt. I would say that's pretty good going. Have you thought about doing the snowball calculator? It gives you a deft free date which I find incredibly motivating. Have a good weekend.xx*Official DFW Nerd #1368 - Proud to be dealing with my debts*

Hi rc and thanks for your comment, I updated my sig earlier when I'd had a look at my online banking, it motivated me again!
Going to put £100 in the savings bringing it up to £300 so only another £200 to go!
I checked and my credit card is 2% does this seem right tho? I'm not sure!
This weekend I need new make up which I always get from mac and I won't be changing that, I need bronzed and blush as mines have run out but I have had them since June last year! So I don't mind paying extra for the good quality stuff! I have 2 pairs of trousers to take back which I bought last weekend so that's £20 straight away
Have a nice weekend all xApril 2011/ Present£7110.23/ £6757.99Savings Pot - £850.000 -

I love mac make up, is good stuff isn't it.0 -
Love my mac wendz! I got prep & prime (amazing) a beautiful bronzer and a peachy blush! Love them and feeling very pretty in them which is nice!
NSD today and got loads down the house - finally feeling on top of things for the first time since baby was born, no money in savings this wek due to aforementioned mac purchase!
Bad booboo as usual - thanks for reading my money 'spending' diary! Oopsy! XxxApril 2011/ Present£7110.23/ £6757.99Savings Pot - £850.000 -
Hello,
Well I just called child tax credits and the reason I havent been paid any more money from them is because I am no longer entitled to them as of the 5 April!?!?!?!?
Aparently the baby elemant has been taken away and your only allowed earn up to £40,000 which I know we are way over but god sake - I have worked since I left school, never even been off sick and paid my dues and were entitled to nothing! load of pony I think - Thanks very much unwanted tory government - your doing a great job!
NSD today and a jammie/ play day with baby, he is coming on so well, grabbing and trying to sit up he can roll over too! Time is flying in though - I wish it would slow down a bit.
I'm making omlette and chips for dinner, and I have frozen mince and frozen macaroni for the next couple of nights, thats one MSE thing I can do well is batch cooking - I love it and I love having things ready and not having to worry about making a fresh dinner every night! This weekend I am going to do a big batch of grannys soup and get it frozen.
Ive been eating really well since the weekend and I think my motabolism is starting to go back to what it was like pre baby!
OH car is still in the garage and we cant really ask when it will be ready as its a favour - I'm hoping we'll have it back at some point this week?
Think we really need to knuckle down this next few weeks as I went on to maternity half pay yesterday, so I might actually try to get stuck intot his MSE thing. I think we can do it no bother - I just need to speak to OH and work out how... we have a high income so there is no excuse for us not to have a big savings amoutnt, were just not focussed.
My OH is not MSE, doesnt know about this diary and hates talking about money but he does like a challenge so maybe I can come up with a way to get him on board with a goal and an incentive, any ideas?
All housework for today done and up to date.

It is rubbish that people who work hard aren't entitled to anything isn't it.
Is good to know you are feeling on top of things, I will look forward to when that happens. Still feeling a bit overwhelmed with it all. Sounds like your little one is really coming on well. Time does go so quick doesn't it, can't believe my little one is 3 weeks already!0 -
As wends, it gets easier every day but I would say it wasnt till about 8 weeks that I started to know what I was doing, it's really tough! He was sleeping through the night last week but he's stopped this week! Don't know how to change this now????? Ahhhh!
I've lost 2lbs this week and I can feel it, I'm going a big walk with baby in papous today for a bit of exercise.
Nothing happening money wise, NSD and nothing coming in till tomorrow, hope everyone is well xApril 2011/ Present£7110.23/ £6757.99Savings Pot - £850.000 -
Well we have well and truely found our motivation - OH is getting laid off for a few weeks but will be re-employed. they havent told us when but we anticipate next friday will be his last day, and they havent said for how long but again we anticipate to be about 2-3 weeks.
We therefore need to cover for a couple of weeks where he will have no wage. He got paid today and will get paid next thursday and the following for definate.
This weeks pay broke down like this:
+£475
-90 Direct Debits
-60 Tescos
-50 Fuel
-35 bday present and card
= 240
-200 savings
will leave the £40 buffer just incase anything creeps up. Our savings is standing at £400 today and hope to put in £100 next week but it will depend on OH wages. I'm hoping he will get a few homers while he is off for the couple of weeks which should tide us over.
The building trade is very unpredictable at the moment - it is a pain although it would be nice to have him home for a few weeks!!
Will update my sig now!
Hope everyone is well, me and baby are having a play day at home as the weather is a bit stinky today! xApril 2011/ Present£7110.23/ £6757.99Savings Pot - £850.000
