Hi Wendz! Yeah it would be great - Grandparents are so funny - my parents can't get enough of the baby!
Well I went to a couple of nurseries with varying costs - The most expensive one was amazing but it was £42 per day - They had great facilities and people coming in to do sports coaching, music lessons and computer classes with the kids. When I go back to work DS will be 10 months tho so I dont think these things are a priority - I think the best thing will be to put him into the best location nursery and then think about the more expensive nursery when he is going into 3-5 as our financial situation will be different by then too.
All is well today and we are having a day at home although we have to go to my OH parents for dinner which I can't really be bothered with but we will just have to get on with it.
NSD today aswellx

Just completed day 2 of my 30 day shred! managed more today (mostly thanks to a good sports bra! Hehe) think im up to about 80% but still dont feel quite as fit as I was pre pregnancy! I'm hoping to get to about 10 1/2 stone again (i'm 5' 10") which means I have another 11lbs to go although I think most of it will be toning rather than losing actual weight! No doubt I will be in a world of pain tomorrow but so be it!
Having chicken and pasta for dinner which I am making at the moment.
£50 in savings todayx

Hi Booboo,
Have enjoyed reading your thread particularly because I'm due in October and was today looking at nursery prices.
I teach and the nursey attached to my school said £155 a week for five days so that seems the same as you looked at. That includes everything. A friend of mine pays nearly £60 a day and still has to provide her own nappies and everything.
I also want to save the pennies ready for maternity leave but at the minute we're looking at moving into somewhere bigger, trying to rent ours and then rent bigger so as to fit baby in so lots of money going that way.
Will be interested to see how you get on! Good luck. xWandered away from the MSE track for a while but am back and on a mission! Debts cleared nearly £18k. Now to start saving ...0 -
Well done on the shread! Sounds like you are doing well with it. I am definately going to have to go on a fitness regime after this baby is born!0

Hi Loumac and Wendz - all the new mummys together in here!
Im loving being a Mum - Its great fun altho a bit exhausting just now - baby is 7 weeks and is deciding to scream every time I put him down - Not easy to do anything else!
Getting worried a bit now about this year and all the stuff we have going on - 4 weddings (hopefully no funerals), our babies christening, both our mums 50ths and a trip to london. Not going to be cheap and I am on Maternity pay which isnt going to help but I think it will be OK with some planning! Its times like these I would usually bust out the credit card and get myself some nice clothes for these wonderful occassions but I will be good - maybe see if i can get 1 dress and wear it to 2 weddings. - been looking on boohoo.com and they have maxi dresses for £15- one of these might do me!
I havent done my shred for today yet - will have to wait till OH and baby go to bed or else they will be laughing at me! xApril 2011/ Present£7110.23/ £6757.99Savings Pot - £850.000 -
We've had a year like that! One 60th, a 25th wedding anniversary, everyone turning 30 (including me!!) and 2 weddings. One of which is this weekend, both of which OH is one of the groomsmen. Grrr... Oh and the moving house and having a baby thing. Ha! Where there's a will there's a way.
I'm wearing a £21.99 maternity dress from new look and have dressed it up with a pashmina (borrowed) and fascinator (going on ebay by Monday!)
Enjoy your shred. xWandered away from the MSE track for a while but am back and on a mission! Debts cleared nearly £18k. Now to start saving ...0 -
Thats good loumac - I'm all for a cheap and cheerful outfit!
I've found that having a baby at this age isnt that expensive - the main expense at the moment is my wage loss because of maternity pay - other than that its just formula and nappies really!
Went to the supermarket yesterday and spent £80 - oopsy! Also went for a sunbed which was £3.60 - I go once a week.
Not shredded on friday or saturday :0! I just dont feel like I can when OH is here cause I look a bit daft! haha! Anyway will get back to it tomorrow. Before I was pregnant I used to work out 5 days a week Mon-fri and I lost about a stone at first so that should be grand for me! And give me a break at the weekend!
Off to sit in the garden and enjoy the sun! Goodbye xApril 2011/ Present£7110.23/ £6757.99Savings Pot - £850.000 -
Hi,
All the things going on don't sound cheap but does sound fun and will keep you busy. Maxi dress sounds good for the wedding.
Hope you enjoyed the sunshine x0 -
Hello,
It is a busy year but hopefully with some planning we'll be grand...
Shredded again today while my mum walked the babyhappy days!
Moneywise we have £90 in the bank till pay day on thursday and a fridge full of food so no worries there - quite a few bills coming off this weeks wage so no savings this week i think...
