Beat Stamp Price Rise: First Class Rise (Not) (Merged)

The cost of a stamp in the UK is far cheaper than anywhere else in Europe!

For every social letter Royal Mail send they actually lose money.
If a letter is sent from city to city its not so costly, but to deliver to remote areas of the UK it is very expensive.
I am just hoping that other companies setting up delivery networks will deliver to these areas for the same price? If not eventually people who live in remote areas may not have the option to have their mail deliverd to their door for cost reasons!

I hope that over the next few years people will support Royal Mail as they have a difficult task delivering over 81 million items of mail a day!

On the moneysaving issue, stock up with books of 1st class stamps ( the ones without the price) before the rise, and the pounds will look after themselves, eh Martin?
