another day another UU
UU: Neutragenia (SP?) exfoliator - WIBA? nope ended up using it as a body one rather than a face one just to use it up!New surname New start!
Total Debt - [STRIKE]£9999.09 [/STRIKE]now 7633.16 23.66% paid off0 -
One UU this morning, Mark Hill Diamond Shine Spray WIBA No, it left my hair a bit greasy but I have another 4 to use!(They all came in sets from the boots sale, that was before I found the error of my ways and this thread!) My spend in the boots sale was about £300, OMG now I've confessed ...Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0

A couple of INs t report, a fragrance free Palmers Cocoa butter lotion (£3.53 in Asda) as all my butters/lotions are highly scented and I find that it interferes with my perfume when I use it on my arms, shoulders etc. I'll continue to use the yummy stuff on unexposed bits of me :rotfl:
and 2 MUA nail varnishes £1 each at SD. When my granddaughter comes over she likes me to paint her toe nails like nanny's so I picked up a pretty pink colour as all mine are a bit gothic, black, navy, bright red, silver. Not really right on a nearly-3-year-old!! They also had a pretty turquoisey-green one so I picked that up too.0 -

HUGE {{{HUGS}}} Rosemary

What a !!!!!! to just leave her there :mad: people like that make me sooooo angry :mad:
Just having a quick read of the thread before I go to catch my train home - didn't want to have pages and pages to read later
have some non-naughty IN's to report later but NO UU's
And for the first time in ages I have spots (including a huge one inside my nostril ) I think it's the moisturiser in my travel kit - It smelt a bit funny so think I will relegate it to foot duty
Will catch up properly later - enjoy Thursday :cool:0 -
Oh Rosemary, that is just awful news. I can't believe that someone would just leave an animal to die without trying to do something. I know how attached we all get to our pets - they are firmly part of the family so I completely understand how heartbroken you must be feeling. Sending you virtual hugs and you'll be in my thoughts.
Take care hun.

Oops, multiquote has lost mcculloch29's original post about how little you can spend - I'll say up front - I at a guess was going to say about £10 using just basics shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body lotion and handsoap. Then I reconsidered and was going to go with £6. However have read through the other posts and seen your actual answer, so this feels a little like cheating now...!!;)
Yep, that's closer to what I think I'd spend (if not more!!) Definitely a girl after my own heart£300? :rotfl:
(unfortunately! Just think of the other things you could do with that money!)lovethembargains wrote: »I must admit that prior to lurking on this thread months before I joined I had never given much thought to my toiletries spending habits. When I look back on it now I easily would have spent over £1500 a year and even more if I was off to the states where I would stock up on my cosmetics.:eek::eek::eek:
I would bulk buy my favoured products even when not on offer and I would buy new products in the hope of finding my HG item. I never wanted to downshift my products as I wrongly believed that the label is king!!
Being on this challenge I have learned a lot - about my spending habits, product performance vs. branding and how enjoyable and satisfying it is to use up and love my stash.
I still have the odd (shamelessly enjoyable) splurge, try and get the best value for HG or lustible items and look out for recommended products (by you lovely ladies).
In January I started totting up my monthly spends for the first time. I now do this every month. Your post Flirtini got me thinking about actually projecting my spending for the year and after some thought I would like to plump for a spend this year of £210 which is £15 per month plus a slush fund of £30 for any *ahem* emergencies.
I need to take a leaf from your book and learn about my own habits - might be easier to avoid the scenarios where I'll cave/impulse buy if I'm more aware of them!
I think I'm going to do the same - get a nice pretty spreadsheet to project what I *need* to buy each year, what I'd also *like* to buy, and the cost of decent, not expensive, items. Then when I've shocked myself at the cost of even that, then try to get it down further. I think I also need to reassess what I actually *need* - I can't need that many products, surely!!!!:)
That said - anyone know of any good all-rounder products that can have multiple uses? Save on number of bottles in the bathroom?
Hope you are all having another lovely sunny day - looks like Spring has finally sprung!!! xx

not sure what the lowest is for a years spend. i guess for guys it would be cheaper :P
shampoo,bodywash ,deoderant,toothpaste?
females-above plus conditoner,razers.....
i guess thats what stashes are for
;) if i was to use everything i had and not buy until i have none of an item my yearly spend could be 0. for the first year anyway then i might need essentials such as toothpaste..oh and hairdye which i get from the £1 shop when they have it.in other areas such as makeup it depends on how long the items stay good.
no uus to report today got another 2 dove bodywashes from t which i am going to gift.now off to get ready, not been to tescos since last night and am worried i could be missing something:rotfl:£365 a year spend challenge - this has included food/clothes/beauty?? who knows where I am
20,000 step a day challenge0
