No Buying Toiletries in April Challenge

Afternoon all.
Have opened my no7 instant radiance beauty balm that I found in my cupboard the other week and it is really nice. I think it must be some sort of take on Clarins Flash Balm but I like this better, you put it on after your moisturiser and before make up. When I used flash balm it flaked off when I put make up on and seemed a waste of money IMO, this didn't do that. Will see whether it clogs my skin up or not, will report back on that later.
Normally I would go out and buy more of this after liking it after one application but I have learnt my lesson and will wait to see the long term results before parting with anymore cash. The devil makes works for idle hands0 -
Oh heck - Ive only been away for 3 days, how much chat do you lot manage??!!!!
quick update for you all - ex and his ex/present are now ex again.... shes been an utter b1tch to him as well - so its looking highly likely that the whole escapade was designed to split him and me up and crush him as much as she can.... Im so angry with what shes done that I dont actually think there is a word invented for it yet - but I do know that if I see her knocking around Lambourn there will be blood (verbally!!)
we arent back together - hes said that he doesnt want to be in a relationship with anyone for a while (which I agree with completely - I think he needs to be on his own for a while to work things out and get his hospital things out of the way in July) but I was with him last night(not that anyone knows), and I did a lot of listening, holding and being a friend... Im not going to get hurt again I dont think - he knows what he did to me,and that he cant do it again - and also we are in a different situation now whereas before it was all rushed and mad. Im half hoping that while hes home he realises whats what and that he comes back ready to give us a proper go - but I wont be suprised if he doesnt.
(and Im sure part of the reason Im quite calm about it all is that Ive got the afore-mentioned hottie too - he doesnt know, but then theres no reason why he should IMO - Im single as far as I know!!!!!)
anywya - despite a weekend away, no UU but also no Ins...Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup0 -
Never heard of Miss Cole before this thread...the packaging does look very nice. Just out of interest (nothing more) who makes it?
I've had an internet mooch - it seems it's made by Grace Cole Co - who have a dozen different brands - they even do BATMAN:D
trudji - it does sound like she didn't want him just didn't want anyone else to have him - I'm like that with chocolate :rotfl:
Somebody really needs to take my Advantage card away from meOH and I popped into town today - OH was meeting DD to help with her English revision and I was going to £land to pick up some bits and bobs. I had a wander - then got bored - so ended up in Boots
so - two IN's
Champneys Foot Butter - £8 - got the GWP set with this which will go away as a new mummy pamper set for later in the year for my SIL (probably)
Batiste Dry Shampoo BRIT - on offer in SD £1.19
I also picked up two Sanctuary Candle Gift sets (Bath Float, Body Butter & a votive candle) for £1.50 each :T These have gone into the christmas room too along with the Time Delay Eye Cream which I used a skinny for and got for my Mum
I now have two skinnies (I wombled one) which I am determined not to spend :rotfl:
I also picked up a huge bottle of shampoo to go in the donation box and a huge bottle of bubble bath for OH (I'm going to refill his 'proper' bottles - he'll never know) - both using 1/3 off vouchers from the ACM.
I got a Bart Simpson SPF 30 Spray Suncream from £land - it's really for the dog but smells yummy so will use it myself when on holiday
We got a vague apology from DD for being such a class-A biatch last month - I'm still not 100% happy - but I guess I never will beand at least I got my spare rooms sorted out while OH was still mad at her
Get this though - her mother has promised her a car if she gets straight A* in her GCSE's   !!!!!!? It's highly unlikely she will (she said that herself seeing as she still hasn't handed in her Art coursework *shakes-head-icon*) but still ... beggars belief :eek:0 -
Could I ask if there is a current forum regarding the latest skinnie, the £5 ladies facial skincare voucher?

Not at the moment that I could find but there's some chat about it HERE
My husband is officially a genius :T He just fixed our washing machine which has been on the fritz for over 6 months now - I was dreading having to either call out a repair man or buy another one  but he managed to fix it - I'm soooo proud :T:T0 -
A UU! The Sanctuary Zibu moisture plunge or whatever it was called ( shower gel, basically). Smelled lovely but would not lather!0

yay to sarah's hubby, repairing the washer is next to godliness in houses with children. I know my sister is a giddy kipper when her's is working at full throttle.
no more UU's up here at the moment, but i can tell i'm bored whilst Mr LT is at work as i've decided to practice my Access database skills with a database of my toiletries. I could be having to apply for my own job again soon, but competing with a whole load of new people so want to teach myself some new stuff so i'm not at a disadvantage.0 -
Three UU's to report during the Easter weekend, don't want to go back to work tomorrow :-( :
Small vaseline tub: WIBA? Trying not to, I want to use more natural products instead of slathering petroleum products on my skin but it is a cheap and handy product.
Body shop vitamin e cream: One more tub to go, don't think I'll buy it again as it's very watery and not really moisturising.
Garnier body spray: More in stock, smells nice, doesn't leave white marks and is a handy size for the hand bag.
One In:
Amazingly, I was able to swap my body shop cream for the free Origins face wash in John Lewis, Oxford street of all places, at 5pm. Was really prepared for disappointment.0 -

A small UU today - travel shower gel, I looked at my stash and reckon I still have enough travel ones to last me til July!!
x
The purple one is also a Nails Inc one! Someone on this thread said (sorry can't remember who) that Models Own are bringing out a range of nail crackles for £6 which includes a silver and purple one (sorry for the linky nail addicts! :rotfl:)

A couple of UU's to report Charles Worthington blow dry straigtening serum WNBA Its ok but it does smell abit after shavey and I dont think it really makes much difference to the straighness of my hair.
Vaseline Intensive hand cream WBA but have stacks of other hand creams to UU first!
S&G Clean on me - OK not quite UU but I have decanted the last bit into a squeezy bottle as I got fed up trying to pump it out! Should be UU in a couple of showers and to be honest I cant wait its taken me over a month and thats me splodging generous amounts onto a puff!0
