  • Not to be a naughty enabler, but does anyone want my Boots £5 ladies facial skincare coupon? I won't be buying any of those brands myself in the time limit so it might as well go to a good home...

(Also, can anyone tell me what 'wombled' means?)

Wombling is when u pick up something discarded by someone else. The most common practice is picking up Tesco receipts and taking them into the shop to get the value added to your clubcard.

    I'll remember you're a womble, then.:)

Back from holiday, no UU's and nearly had a huge IN accidentally. I was looking at some gold earrings in Cornish Goldsmiths near Redruth and thinking, ooh shall I, when I noticed purchases over £25 came with about a litre of toiletries as a GWP.
I think it was body lotion and hand wash but it may have been bath and shower gel. Whatever. The pump bottles were huge.
I got a long solid silver chain -which I actually needed more - instead with a rather swish photo frame as a GWP.

I had to share this - it's Rudi the St Ives' Dragon. He lives in a kennel at the front of a cottage in Lelant, St Ives. His mission in life is to make people smile, but particularly children. Here's his Facebook page. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Rudi-the-St-Ives-Dragon/110644342325329
He is looking for more friends and is hoping for 2,000 soon.... You will note that Rudi is an active promoter of sunblock for children. Way to go, Rudi!

maybe it is wishful thinking but don't remember buying anything this month(probably just forgot!!)lots of use upsmainly gwp size stuff half used on hols so a row of little bottles on dressing table.got a card from Boots witha coupon for a full size free lippy in rosette when i have a consultation by 18th of may or while stocks last...like I need another lippy:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

there is an offer on in May at the local spa for a pedicure or manicure and you get to keep the nail varnish cost £25 for a pedicure,it costs £15 to get legs waxed so that is £40(even tho I get 20% off it is still £32)I decided to shave my legs and did my own pedicure(don't need any more varnish) so am putting the money into my clothes allowance(sneaky?????)

had a nice weekend as DS2 came home and I beat him and his dad at games("you are just lucky " they said but if they had won it would be skill!!!)dropped DS off at station and went for a walk round botanicla gardens then went for a swim and as was feeling lazy got DH to take me to hotle bar for tea.

Back to the real world today and amongst other things have 7 bags of horse **** to dig into garden(DH went and got it for me.....better than an easter egg???!!!)

need to think up nice meal for tonight as had complaints about too many ready meal deals recently...when I said" I cooked you salmon on friday and turkey on sunday" he said " you just shoved that in the oven":mad::mad:....this is what I get for making him watch Masterchef!

Hi all :D. Just popping in for a quick look whilst I drink my coffee. Lots of housework to do today now that everyone's back to work and school.
We had a lovely day yesterday down in Lynton and Lynmouth. Went geocaching but took the wrong path (DH's choice ;)) and decided that it was too hot to continue back and rejoin the other path. We were probably about 2 miles out of our way so we went back and had an(other!) icecream before we went back to the car. I slept all the way home in the car until we stopped for tea. Then got home, had a quick wash in the bath and went to bed without creaming or anything. I was so tired I just couldn't face it!
Slept right through until 8 this morning too. DH decided he was going to go and watch a bit of tv and I said he'd probably fall asleep in front of the box. He almost did but came up at 11. I had no idea as I was dead to the world! Need to have a good old defuzz and exfoliate tonight as I'm having my spray tan tomorrow. I'm quite excited, I should have a lovely colour ready for the weekend now :D.
My No7 BB will probably die within the next week as we're all using it at the moment. It is lovely lovely lovely but I am looking forward to opening the Sanctuary souffle next.

    Morning!

Just popping in - Spent yesterday down the beach in Oxwich bay which was pretty good, although it certainly didnt help my heat rash - its really bad on my arms :( to the point that Im almost a bit embarrassed leaving the house because it looks like I have measles. I get this every single year going, although this year its one of the worst its been - last time I had it this bad was on holiday in Majorca and it was 43 degrees! To be honest a skin care lady we had at the hotel told me part of the reason for heat rash was the toiletries we use (Ive no idea how true it is) but told me the only way to prevent it was to use totally natural products - which I would happily do if A) I didnt have a huge stash to get through and B) Natural products didnt cost a damn fortune.....

Trouble is now I fear that this heat rash is up and going to stay until the summer ends which is going to cause absolute hell for me because all I want to do is itch! Even going to bed is causing problems now, Im building so much heat under the quilt my arms get sore all over again :(
