Charlie, I used to get this all the time when I was little. I had massive hives on my arms and every year the teachers used to grill me about whether I had mumps or not. I remember one checking my neck and everything because I was so sore and itchy :(. I grew out of it but I do still get too hot at night. In the summer I try to switch to a flat sheet instead of a duvet as I get too hot.
Try to stick with more natural fibres like cottons for tops. Also, try to layer. It is more comfortable to have a thin cardigan over a dress than to try and tough it out with other stuff. Another thing I do is to try and wear a light coloured longer sleeve top to keep my arms covered a bit. The light colours reflect the heat and keep you cooler. You are trying to reduce the amount of sweat and let it have a way of escaping through your clothes too.
Weight loss can help to keep you cooler too, sorry, I don't know if you are overweight or not.

Hi everyone! I hope you all managed to get some sort of a break. Spent a lot of time doing housework/gardening, but took my nieces and nephew to Chessington with my sister on Sunday. Amazingly it wasn't too busy, so queues were reasonable :) I did also sneak to Debenhams yesterday afternoon and bought a couple of tops, not my usual taste but I guess it's the trying to change after everything that's been going on. I did think about getting my hair lopped off, but then remembered how awful I felt when had 4 inches taken off last year

One IN to report (well technically one), I was clearing out my room and found my current B**ts mailing vouchers, inc. one for a Frontcover To Go Mix & Match Palette for £10. So I gave in :o Will post pic later tonight hopefully.

    UUs
Lush Fairy Tail scrub: WIBA? Yes! But I would use it straightaway as the sugar on the outside was pretty rough to the touch - ow! Onto a S&G out of the stash methinks.
Lush Iced Wine shower jelly: WIBA? Don't think so. Too difficult to hold and use, much prefer normal shower gel. Onto a 1/3 full Anna Sui Secret Wish Magic Romance shower gel
Lush Honey I Washed the Kids soap: WIBA? Maybe, but got some other Lush soaps on stash.
Sure Naturals Roll-on: WIBA? Umm. I have 3/4 in stash as I bought a 6 pack from Costco. Is it just me or do they seem to last absolutely ages??
James Brown Dry Shampoo: WIBA? Yes. I have one I gave to my sister which she says she won't use, so I'll take it back and use it myself :p Then I might try the Batiste ones. I don't know what I did beforeI discovered dry shampoo (through the most recent B**ts offers thread) - probably just washed my hair more often :rotfl::rotfl:

Got busy at work, so just realised to write this post has taken me over an hour :rotfl::rotfl:

    I'll remember you're a womble, then.:)

oooh that took me back :D

charlie - I have to use just sheets in the summer too - it really helps - and I have a fan in the bedroom for when it gets really hot :o

OH is constantly cold - I'm up in the morning and the backdoor is open, windows are open and I'm in a T-shirt and he follows behind me shivering, closing everything and trying to turn the heating on :rotfl:

One Swapsie IN today - Gok Gorgeous Hand Balm - just in time as I'm all out of any handcream and was contemplating breaking into a Sanctuary gift set just for the handcream :p It smells divine :T
  • One IN for me today - Nails Inc Hyde Park base coat, as I wanted to do my nails but couldn't find my base coat so had to buy a new one! It will get used though. I need to get nail polish remover as well because I'm running out, but couldn't find any and was late getting back to the office so I'll nip to another Boots branch after work and see if they've got any.

In other news, I am down to the last use of Flake Away! So hopefully that'll be gone on Friday.

I also have another Boots £5 off facial skincare coupon if anyone wants that one?
