We use the Costco Litterpurrfect in the big green jugs, I think it is about £7-8* for 13.6 KG, it clumps well around the pees and has a pleasant fresh smell.
We have two cats, one happy to roam not needing the tray unless its raining and the other a bit timid and rarely outside. We have a large, deep tray and use a dinner ladies spoon to lift out the lumps and seal them up in an old jug. Then freshen the tray up with a layer of new litter. We only rarely have to change the whole lot.
* Actual price £8.82 inc vat

I, too, swear by the Costco Litter-Purrfect: while my two do go outside mostly, I keep a tray for nighttime use and one big green jug of the stuff lasts us ages. Provided you leave the cats' contributions a decent time, they go rock hard and are simple to scoop out. It also has a slight lemon-y scent which is much more pleasant than many litters I've come across.0 -
After reading lots of threads I decided to order some Golden Grey Master from Zooplus last week. Cat has been using it the last few days and have to admit it is the best cat litter I have used and I have tried quite a few.0

Snowdrop - glad you (and the cat) like it.. it is REALLY good... and I (read: cats) tried almost all there is - apart from those priced like golden nuggets that is LOL
Just make sure you fill the tray/s quite deep so nothing sticks to the bottom (of the tray LOL)
I put a full bag in each tray (got those massive trays size of almost a baby bath) and just scoop up till they are down to almost nothing - no need to wash the trays even, once per month perhaps if that much.0 -
I've just come across a new website I'd not known about before - all it seems to sell is cat litter and trays!
http://cat-litter-trays.co.uk/epages/950000258.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/950000258/Categories
The prices seem quite reasonable, though you have to pay for delivery.
I've not actually bought anything from the site, but just thought I'd share0 -

I think their prices are mental. I find Sainsbury's clumping litter @ around £2 for 8ltr enough to pay - its very good too.:)0 -

If you compare the price of World's Best to what others have said - i.e. compare the same thing and not a different product -then their prices are competitive. However, I am not endorsing this site, just thought I'd share it as I'd come across it, so if you want to carry on using what you are happy with, then great, no skin off my nose0 -

I don't (now wondering if I've got very odd cats or if I do something even stranger)?
I scoop out the solids and wet patches twice a day and just top up with a bit of clean on the top (bit like you'd do with the clumping stuff).
I never have bits stuck to the bottom of the tray and only do a "full change" about once a month and that's only down to the fact that I like to give it a "proper" clean now & then, not 'cos it needs it.Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Bio Cat-o-let. For ferrets also.0

I have tried them all, and I think the best is definitely Tesco Value litter. It's cheap, it's a big bag and it stops all the whiffy smells.
I tend to also use litter freshener too. You can buy Bob Martin's stuff for about a quid.0
