Yesterday was a spend day - but I could have kept it as an NSD :(
I was sure I had a D/Debit due out of the bank, so I allowed myself to be tempted by a few Whoopsies when I left work - only to discover nothing had gone out of the bank :o

However still nothing out of the bank today, and I managed to keep my purse firmly closed - so I can report today as NSD #9 :D

3 more to target, 11 days left in the month and (possibly) 3 more days with D/Debits so it should be relatively easy to hit target. However I need to pick up a local newspaper on Thursday (10th anniversary photo of the running club should be in there, with a small article on the club) - and I think that day would otherwise have remained an NSD. Will have to consider carefully if that's the best day to pick up milk in order to retain a later date as an NSD, given I probably wouldn't open it until Saturday so will lose shelf life by buying it early....

In other news - not getting anywhere fast trying to work out a date/time for a second meet :( But still texting, and no change in 'tone' or frequency :)

    Plus.....

I woke up this morning with the crazy notion that it might be "fun" to run the London Marathon next year !!!!

That was at 5:30am, and by the time I left the house for work at 6:45am I knew when the run is, when they're starting to accept ballot applications for a place, and when Easter is next year (we're not allowed any annual leave for a certain timescale around Easter - but that's not an issue for 2012)

Mentioned the crazy idea to my line manager this morning, and by 3:30pm my application for annual leave around that date had been handed in to HR for approval !!!!

I know that (even if I don't bottle out before putting my name into the ballot) it'll be months before I know whether I have a place or not, but I'd rather book the time off first (which can be cancelled with a minimum of 6 weeks notice) than get a place and then find I can't get the time off work......

I'm still thinking it might be one of the silliest ideas I've ever had in my life though :rotfl:

Whoo! I snagged another of the little blighters so that's me up to 9 NSD and nearly double figures.

Still no news on a name for my niece - I'm getting impatient now lol!

Keiss - I would (and I know they're expensive) recommend GHDs for hair straighteners. I used to have some similar by Hair Tools (bought off eBay) which were good because you could adjust the temp to suit your hair type. However I got some GHDs a few years ago for my birthday (thanks mum :o) and I find them far far superiour, the plates don't drag at your hair and they heat up really quickly. Just make sure you get actual GHDs (I would suggest from a hair salon) and not counterfeit ones if you get some.

Just popped in to agree totally with Kerri re the GHD'S. IMHO, any other type is false economy. I have shortish hair and I use them a lot!
Also agree- buy them from a reputable source. Only hairdressers are allowed to stock them ( I think, correct me if Im wrong) or you can buy direct from GHD themselves. I would also recommend getting a protective heatmat as if you're anything like me, I'm liable to scorch anything in sight:o

    I'll be back later.............

    Have a lovely day everyone!:)

    Morning!

Well I have not had a NSD for a while now :-( this last week i have had to pay out for lots of different things, but I suppose thats what goes with buying a second hand car....getting it checked out, cleaned, tax etc. On a positive though I did sell my old car so made lots of money to put towards clearing my loan and that is what this website is about...beening debt free :-)

I am going to try very hard next week, promise :-)

Well the sun is shining and i have no food in so i am off to the supermarket to stock up for the week.....enjoy every one :-)
