  • Got myself another one - yay, at 14 for the month and looking more hopeful for my target.

Very good news on the me being happy front....got next week off work - hurrah. Now to get the housework all done so that I can actually enjoy the week off. Funny how a simple change of pace can alter your whole mood.

Well done to everyone who's catching their NSDs, keep going and we'll all be richer (or at least less poor) by the end of the month!

Hello all! Well not a NSD for me today *hangs head in shame* Started spendy very early when I picked up the three winter coats I'd dropped in for dry cleaning before work. Two of mine and OH winter coat - total bill £25.50...which actually wasn't 'expensive' for dry cleaning round here. Still, that's the winter coats cleaned and put away for a while. :)

Whilst I was on a roll today, I bought an easter card for the lady we used to live next door to - she's in her 80s and virtually housebound, and on her own so I thought it might be nice for her to open. Also bought an amusing 'new baby' guide for my Bro and his GF (ordered online), and spent £4.50 on a couple of bits in Mr T - so not toooo bad overall.

Popped into our library for the first time in ages and took Tom's Midnight Garden out on loan (from the kids section :o) I mentioned it at work and suddenly had a mind to read it as I used to love the series as a kid (bit like Goodnight Mr Tom, i can read that book over and over again - and cry every time)

Niece still has no name bless her. Her and mummy still in hospital, she's a little underweight so they are having to really monitor her feeding, unfortunately she's slightly tongue tied too, so that's not helping - think it's rather stressful for mum, but sure she'll do just fine.

Gorgeous day here - back on the NSD wagon tomorrow and target - err...hmmm... well I have a chance to hit it this month...and if not, well I can see the diff this challenge is making to my bank account, even with the big bills in the past few months. :T

    I got #11 today! :)

And I completed 2 mystery shops so I actually made money!

Don't think I'll get many more this month but I'm happy with how I've done this month.

Well done to everyone that got an NSD today :)

And today takes me into double figures - so that's NSD #10 on day number 20, making for a 50% success rate so far in April :T

    Hello my fellow NSDers!

Nice to hear you are feeling happier twistedhazel, having a clean up always makes me feel better. Weather helps too. :)

Beautiful day here, though spent most of it indoors. Last day of work tomorrow and then off on the bike trip round the North West of Scotland. Spoke to my DH tonight and he was very proud that he hadn't spent any of his weekly budget, so we should have quite a bit of spending money on our holiday. :D

It was a NSD for me today, so number 12 for me. :j

Everyone seems to be doing very well today.

    xx

If the race was tomorrow I'd be lucky to get half way round.... but with 368 days to go I stand a reasonable chance of getting fit enough to make it round before then ;)

Next Tuesday will just be a case of putting my name into the ballot in the hope I get a place. Then 6 months or so until I know whether I was lucky or not - during which time I'll have to train on the assumption I get one, even though I'm told the normal success rate is about 1 in 6 !!!

But I may have a second chance if I'm not lucky to get one in the general draw ;) My running club were 'given' a few places for club members for the one that's just taken place (the members who got the spots still had to pay their own entry fee), so the club ran their own ballot for those. The only condition was that, in order to be able to put your name into the draw, you had to be able to produce the letter saying your ballot application had been unsuccessful. I can't remember whether we had 3 or 5 places, but I did hear there were only 2 more names in the 'hat' than they had places - so a much higher chance of getting one that way if the organisers give us some for 2012 as well :D

My longest run to date is the 8.12 miles I did last Sunday. So I need to pick up another 18.08 miles in 368 days - which equates to increasing my long run by around 0,34 miles a week. As I have a half marathon in 8 weeks and 4 days, I'm looking at an increase of almost twice that rate until then.

That then leaves me 44 weeks to increase by a further 13.1 miles (or just under 0.3 miles a week) - and as the recommendation is to not increase mileage by more than 10%/week it's more than safe to constantly take it up by that much :T

I can't believe this No. 7 for me today. If only I was as good on assignments.

Going to cut my friend's grass tomorrow. Wish me luck. It's a bit long and a big garden. We're trying to sort the estate out and keep things nice for when it gets sold. I'm the only one near with a lawn mower!

I'll put my sun cream on!
