Runs in from stage left....oh my goodness...so sorry...did I miss the outing today? I have been out all afternoon shopping in a very self indulgent and frivilous manner - and enjoyed every second of it (well except the £9 parking :eek:)
However, I think I am covered (metaphorically and literally) for my holiday...well not that I really needed anything tbh but quick run down of today's purchases;
In first place - Primarni
£17 maxi dress (was looking for one last summer with no joy, and OH hates most but this is black and tan with some gold disc detail and really v.nice)
£2.50 white plimsole type things - got a pair in my usual size 4 last year and they are just tooo small so got a 5 and they are much better (the sole appears to be the same size as my size 37 trainers too)
£1.50 flip flops
£6 gold sandals for the evening - very bad for the feet, no support and zero depth to the sole but again, pretty.
£1 set of travel size bottles - not necessarily needed but a bargain as 1 pot I bought OH not so long ago was £1
£2 over gloves (not for the holiday but ours are MINGING!)
£7 shorts for OH - didn't have any in his size last time and had to ferret about for these
Total £37
TK M*xx
£6.99 on a pair of hareem pants (or genie knickers as I now call them) - VERY comfy but I keep swinging between keeping them and thinking I should take them back under the WHAT WAS I THINKING? list of purchases??? Purchased on a gift card - so doesn't count as proper money
M*ngo
£9.90 red stripy t-shirt - very cute, very me, did resit buying the blue version...and the vest top version too lol!
Debenh*ams
£30 :eek: on a new bikini (my goodness..does my !!!!! really look that bad or are those dressing room lights REALLY harsh?!) haven't bought a new one for years (bikini, not !!!!!..though if anyone knows where I can buy a new one let me know :rotfl:) and I'm not 1oo% sure , my bum cheeks seem to over flow at the sides, and the next size up is too big round the waist (think embarrassing situation likely during a pool dive). Had £15 love2shop voucher so actual spend 'only' £15
Also bought some Salt spray for my hair (£4.99) and a cup of tea and a scone for £3.50
Total amount to confess ..errr...nearly £80 :eek::eek::eek:
All in all it could have been a lot worse, I haven't really been out and treated myself like that for ages
Hope you're all enjoying the bank holiday xFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

NSD 7 for me today0

Spendy day for me - new school bag and boxers for the sprog, plus salad stuff for tomorrow, a bargain bottle of Echo Falls white zinfandel (the pink stuff) for £3 from Mr T and a bit of self-indulgence - a Prima magazine with lots of moneysaving tips inside (number 1 tip - you shouldn't have bought this magazine!)
DS came with me and we went through the self service scanning checkout. And nearly came to blows because DS wanted to scan the items whereas I wanted him to pack the stuff. In the end some items wouldn't scan so I let him type in the barcode numbers while I did the packing. When we got home we shared (with OH as well) the 3 bars of chocolate DS got with his pocket money, very nice too with a cup of tea.
We are doing a carboot sale on Sunday so tomorrow will be spent gathering all the stuff together. We don't have a table unfortunately so I will have to improvise something, but hopefully we will have a good day and get some clutter shifted.
Kerri - I am sure you will be forgiven for spending money on yourself seeing as you hit your April NSD target. Now if you had not got the target then you would by now be getting up close and personal with Bdini's soggy paintbrush.One life - your life - live it!0 -

I've been up close and personal with that brush before....not an experience I'm keen to repeat
I have a love/hate realtionship with those self scans...they are fine until something won't scan/you accidentally brush the scales with your bag or coat/you want to move something in the bag you've already scanned to pack better thus it thinks you've taken it out/you want to buy alcohol, CD, DVD, razor blades or anything else that has a security tag attached/you want to use a voucher/it doesn't recognise your voucher/it won't accept the last scruffy fiver in your purse etc etc etc..... hence I usually just wait to go to a real live checkout person (afterall, I'm paying enough for the food, I'm not paying to scan and pack it all myself too :rotfl:)
With regard to the car boot, are you thinking of doing one regually? myself and my friend used an old pasting table last year which finally gave up the ghost, and invested in this one this year

it's £40 so not cheap (we went halves on it) but it's large and very study, and wipe clean too which is great. Just an idea if you're thinking of doing more than one.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Thanks for the tip, kerri. Will see how this one goes first. Don't know if OH could stand the shock of horror of horrors having to sell some of his beloved stuff at a carboot sale on a regular basis. I'm only doing this one because DS has loads of old Playmobil and other little boys' toys to get rid of, and it's a good excuse to have a clear out and maybe get a little cash towards a school trip he wants to go on. My OH is a regular hoarder - I have said this before and I say it again - I am married to the world's fattest squirrel.One life - your life - live it!0

A spendy for me today- had to buy petrol and a birthday card. Definitely won't meet my target again this month :mad:
For some reason I just don't seem to be able to manage 15
Maybe it's time to lower my target for next monthSave £12k in 2021: Jan £1834.40, Feb £1692.810 -
Suzie - be a cheapskate like me and buy a box of pretty notelets that can double as birthday/thank you cards. And don't worry about the numbers - set yourself a manageable target eg 8 or 10 NSDs then, if you reach target extend it by another couple and so on.One life - your life - live it!0
