To answer an earlier question, as long as the transaction was over £100 (which I think it must be), then Barclaycard are equally liable so you could go through them after trying through the seller

EDIT: Of course it's over £100, it says so in the bloomin' thread title!!!!

Yes it was £220 free delivery.

I think it is going to be a heck of a job tracking them down.

I need to track them down?

Won't go that far. Wait for the response to your email, and if it's not favourable, get a chargeback with Barclaycard. Let them deal with it.
One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.

Can you cancel under DSR having used the item? I thought only "inspection" was allowed.

And he might not be a liar. He may just be mistaken :)

You're absolutely correct. I apologise to the chap. He might well be.

But it's part of his job to know I would have thought. Surely there must be some kind of guidance for staff to follow for every individual product they sell?

The fight has started as they said you are not going to get a refund, do you really think they will be scared if you mention the words "Trading Standards" , i don't think they will to be honest

Irrelevant. As long as it's in the same condition as when delivered and it's within 7 days, that's all you need.

How do I do that? Just call B.C C/S and explain what happened?
