Morning all
Dull and damp here this morning, although not raining at the moment. DH up and off to work at stupid early o'clock.
DS1 went to Cadets last night, but said he had a stomach ache when I collected him. He'd had scrambled egg on toast for a quick tea, and this problem with stomach ache has happened several times before and I thought he had just eaten too much. Think it could be eggs, as same thing happened last week - he says he doesn't feel sicky just has stomach ache/pain, goes to the loo, then starts to feel better. Will be changing what he has for a while to see what happens!
Work was relatively busy again yesterday, and training has been cancelled this morning so have a meeting, still don't know if I'm able to leave a bit early, so will have to see, could use the extra time as have a few jobs I must get done today. Only working half day so not so bad.
Have managed to get a line of washing dried Sunday, Monday and yesterday so now have a ironing mountain .... again, but will crack on with this over the next day or so. Have a therapy appointment first thing tomorrow morning, then hairdressers, then I'll be able to come home and get going with the housework and jobs that need doing at home.
DH and boys cut the grass Monday evening, looks lots better but of course now will need regular cutting. Dinner tonight will be LO roast beef re-heated in a pot of gravy, mash, veg and gravy. Tomorrow night may be fry-up, haven't decided yet.
Looks like we're going to have another busy weekend, have to go and collect caravan on Saturday morning, collect some tools etc lent to a friend and then we're going to visit DH's grandad, DH says he's seemed a bit low last few days, says no-one is going to visit him (DH parents both retired, have a car, could visit him, but just don't bother, grrr..... families can be so difficult sometimes can't they?.....) so think we will go on Saturday and stay for a while with him.
Not much else to say really, keep safe and well everyone, hugs to those that need them.

Good Morning Everyone!
Halight -hope you get on alright at the docs today.
Essexgirl -feel sorry for you - I know how having a bad back can impinge on everything else you do (or can't do). Hope it eases soon.
NPM - I'm sure it's not your fault, but if you are not feeling well yourself everything seems even worse. As others have said, the school should be finding ways to help Noah be comfortable at school - you really can't do it for them.
Tigerfeet -I am sure your son will notice you are there for the assembly bit anyway - you really can't help the fact that you can't stay. Hope Nursery appreciates the sffort you're making here.
Cheapskate -fingers crossed for you.
We have my sister and her husband staying, so massive HW yesterday! Sadly, heard in the night that DS has had to be moved into general hospital as his glucose levels have gone sky-high. Silly chump has forgotten to take his phone charger with him!
Hope you all have a good day. Take care.Resolution:

Good Morning all, no school run for me today as DD has the day off. So its going to be a day of just pottering around and sorting out my grip to take with me on Saturday when i am off on my spring holiday. Thanks to taplady I have lots of leaflets about what's local to where we are staying.Fingers crossed that we have dry weather .My friend and I never go for the sunshine we go for the place and over the past 5-6 years we have been quite lucky with the weather. Some nice walking (but not too far) is what we enjoy plus a few stately piles and second-hand book shops and of course we can never pass a charity shop without a quick peep. She also keeps a keen eye open for material shops as she quilts and I knit so wool shops are my thing. We have had some really nice cottages over the years. We had one a couple of years ago half way up a mountain in the Derby Dales and it was amazing the view when eating breakfast and as it was on a farm we had a good few lambs sticking their noses through the door.
Well time I made some breakfast I think. I am trying to use up all the stuff in the fridge before Saturday morning, we do take a good bit with us anyway in case we are somewhere not close to any shops .
Hope everyone has a nice day and <<hugs>> to those who are feeling poorly
Cheers chums JackieO xx0 -

Cheapskate/Ruby fingers crossed
Sistercas hope the car doesn't cost too much
Tigerfeet you can't be in two places at once hun
Going to have a chilled day today. For once no parcels to post so planning on a quick tidy this morning and then a catch up of a couple of programmes I have recorded. This afternoon I will do some baking as the tins are empty. DH has requested a ginger cake and will make some brownies for the boys and maybe some biscuits.
Getting a bit downhearted with my diet. I like the low GI but am not losing any weight, around 5 lbs in 4 wks. I am thinking of trying WW but keeping it low GI. Sometimes it drives me mad thinking about dieting and I get in such a strop I end up thinking oh S@D it and eating everything in sight:mad:
Tea tonight will be roast chicken, probably with pasta of some kind.
Just waiting to here that mum and dad have landed safely in Perth

Morning all
((((NPM))))
Halight - hope ur ok
I'm back from London. Had quite a good time. On the Sunday I met up with my friend in Camden and we had a drink by the river and then wandered round the markets. Then in the evening I went to my cousin's and his wife's house for dinner. Had a lovely time there too. My course was okay, learnt a lot about my boss (who was there too!) and her opinions on colleaguesplus alot about changes that are coming up. It was nice to go to our HQ as I'd never been before (it's next to Regent's Park) and all the people on the course were lovely.
I am exhausted now thoughmy train back was at 7pm so wasn't scheduled to get in til just before 11pm, but at Reading we had to wait 40mins cos some drunken idiot was being abusive in 1st class and the polie had to escort him off the train . This meant I would miss my connection at the very end of the journey. The train company offered to provide a free taxi, but the queue was quite big so my boss's husband gave me a lift as I only live 10mins from them :A.
I have this morning off work thank god. I feel like I may be coming down with a cold. I'm off to uni this afternoon but other than that I don't have much planned to do.
Good news is I haven't needed to take my vertigo medication since Friday :j. I was fine on the train, but did feel a bit wobbley on the tube on Sunday but I think that was more cos I was rushing and it was so busy. I had the odd moment of feeling nauseous but not manyhopefully I'm on the mend.
OS wise today - WM on at moment but will need to dry inside as it's wet and windy here, finish unpacking suitcase, dinner will probably be freezer surprise, need to make packed lunch for uni
Have a good day all

Morning all!
Grey and damp here, so washing will need to dry indoors. Everyone out the door before 8, so I can forge ahead with some housework before I go to the supermarket to fill the fridge and cupboards, its finally payday!:j
Just off to put mum's donation onto dad's tribute fund on the hospice website, he would have been 80 today!
Right onwards and upwards. Big hugs to all, seems like more and more need one every day just now!RIP Iain

Halight I hope the Dr can help x
NPM I hope the school does something to help, there is nothing worse then being worried about your children, or watching them get upset x
Tiger I am sure you DS knows you are always there for him x
BDF I agree with Bargainbird I would have just served dinner and let it get cold. It must be hard as they have so much catching up to do x
Today I have to get the house/garden ready for a property inspection on Friday (Tomorrow is shopping night) I hate doing things like this!
This morning I found Princess pawing at DS school bag, I moved it... and under was a mouse... which ran into my bedroom and under the bed
Well Princess is mentally diabled and would never catch it... so I locked Tigger in the house to get it and he fell asleep on the bed instead!!!! He better get it before it eats anything valuable (like DS baby stuff)!!!!
Leftover Curry for Dinner Tonight

morning!
got 3 days off now!:j
Am going to finally get round to start painting the hall, stairs and landing. Its looking really grubby - especially now I've taken all the pictures down:eek: Dinner tonight is sausage casserole, DSs GF is coming so might try and find time to throw a pudding together too.
NPM - I'm hoping the malatonin makes a big difference to Noah - if he's having enough sleep it might help with other issues and even if it doesn't at least you and DH wont be so shattered all the time. x
RR - I think Melatonin is a hormone most of us make that helps regulate our body-clocks so we know to go to sleep at night etc. If its lacking then the body cannot differentiate between day and night making sleep very difficult. Its not a sleeping pill. We use it at work and its made a huge difference to a particular service user's quality of life.
JackieO - I believe there's a wool shop in Ludlow:) not so sure about a material shop though, I'm crossing my fingers you have lovely weather while you're up here. There are plenty of charity shops in the local market towns.:T
Halight - hope the docs appointment goes well x
Lou - hope your little one is feeling better soon x
better get started with the painting, bac lter for a tea break!:)Do what you love :happyhear0 -

NO! That weight loss is perfect! You shouldn't loose more or it won't keep off xxx
You have to remember that i am Insuline Resistant which is why my weight dropped off so fast at first... but I am at 1lb a week now... and that's right!!!
I've lost almost 7 stone and when you work it out it averages at 3/4lb per week only!!! you don't want to get disheartened!
I have two questions though... 1) are you eating too many calories 2) are you eating too few calories?
The reason is GI doesn;t work if you stuff yourself full of calories, and equally too few calories will put your body into starvation mode x
Also I like to mix it up... I eat more calories on the weekend so that my body doesn't get 'used' to the amount of food I am having and that means you loose more xxxWe spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy! Mortgage Free Wannabe :dance:Overpayments Made: £5400 - Interest Saved: £11,550 - Months Saved: 240
