Over blinged AND over priced! (think 'early days' is a primark brand?) as well as being a potential choking hazard.

Tacky, but I suppose at least a new born baby won't be sucking their feet.
I do wonder whether I would think they were nice if I were 20 rather than 50. I hope not.
All these things mark babies out as being a fashion accessory rather than little people who are a lot of hard work. Worth it but hard work.
I wonder how long people think that these blinged items are going to look sparkly.
In my opinion they would be much improved with a bit of vomit and poo on.

sarahg, Did the wedding dress article say how much that creation cost & weighed?

I think like you I would still find them rather disturbing. I don't really know what's wrong with babies looking like babies & as for little girls being paraded around looking like lap dancers, don't even get me started.

Agreed, if people want to dress babies up in tacky "blinged" rubbish then surely a baby doll would be cheaper? My kids stayed in white baby grows/sleepsuits for as long as I could get away with, not that my boys would appreciate being bejewelled and frilled half to death :rotfl:

It is scary how many people are jumping on the blinging bandwagon on facebook, I hope no deaths happen as a result of this crazy fad.

I think unfortunately it will take an injury before people start to realise what danger they're putting their children in.

I don't have children but this 'fad' hasn't reached any of my friends or family with them... the covered in mud/glitter/play doh fad doesn't seem to be disappearing quick though... perhaps there's a market in covering shoes in those? :rotfl:
