    Those cars look cool.

I've been perusing Etsy for invitations and found a great thing for destination weddings. I've emailed the seller to see if she could make me one for the Czech Republic, rather than Australia like the one that's advertised.

Is that the Lords Cars based in Hertfordshire? If it is, then thats the company we used for my brothers wedding and they do a marvellous job. Top company and they do all the right things at the right time, even down to they wont let anyone open doors but gloved chaffeurs so to keep all the cars in good condition. Definately worth a visit to their warehouse to see the cars!

    Hi,

Just to but in, don't know the costs of the Esty invitation but we are getting married in Lindos & having passport invites done & then having luggage tags as our RSVP's. We are getting them from the lady here http://www.weddinginvitations.org.uk/designs.htm

She had been great, sent me a free sample & they are really good quality & a good price I think. You can change the colours & designs, for our luggage tags she has put a pic of the chapel on & they looked good. We have had the proofs & have now sent of the list of names to go in the passports so just waiting for them
Married the man of my dreams - 10th September 2012, St Paul's Bay Lindos :jIt was amazing.

Thanks for the info, but I don't really want passport invites hehe. These are like a simple piece of card with the skyline of the city you're getting married in at the top and then a little booklet with all the info about accommodation and things to go while you're there. But have also been thinking we could make them the same for cheaper probably so will have to do a little bit of experimenting.

But I love Lindos and St Pauls Bay! I still think about the gelato shop in the village! You'll have an amazing wedding there!

Think we may have decided on navy and mustard yellow for the colour scheme? Not too sure, DF needs to think about it a little bit more apparently. Tried to reassure him that the main colour will be navy and then teeny tiny accents of mustard yellow.

Oh and we've decided on a venue for our reception! It's this amazing hotel and well, it's quite cheap for what it is, and we'll get to stay in the a-mazing honeymoon suite included in the price! We've narrowed the date down to June, September or December. Just need to decide. And the date will dictate where we have the ceremony; if June or September then it's between the gardens of the hotel or a tower, if December then it will be one of the town halls.

Have emailed the 2 wedding agencies with all the details we're thinking of and just waiting to hear back. Next thing will be to book a meeting with each of them properly before the end of the year.

Sorry for rambling, I'm just so excited!

Oh I have finally decided on what to do for 'Save the Date' cards. As we're getting married abroad, I want people to know as soon as possible when we've decided on a date, but of course we won't know all the details that quickly, so we're going with Save the Date cards so people can start booking flights etc. Anyway, we're going to make postcards from pictures we've taken of prague (with the word Prague on there somewhere) and then just write on the back "Save the date dd/mm/yyyy" and post them out. Do you think people will get the idea that the wedding will be in Prague from that?

  • Is it something you've discussed with guests2B already or is it a complete surprise? I would assume people would 'get it' but if you're worried you could put Prague on the back too (i.e. Save the date, xx/xx/xx, Prague). I like the idea though; I've just ordered (as in an hour ago lol) our save the date cards with a picture we're taken of the area we're getting married (scottish highlands) on one side and the info on the other.

We haven't really discussed it with anyone other than my parents. Have mentionned it to OH's mum but it didn't go down too well because she was focused on his sisters idea of getting married in Cuba. Probably should mention it to them all properly before we actually book it...
