Declaring at £186.92 just under budget by £13.08.DFW Nerd 941 Proud to be dealing with my debt
August GC £0/£3000 -
Sorry to say I have overspent in April by £12.24!!
Started off with £65.81 (odd figure because I had £5.81 left over at the end of March), and actually spent £78.05.
Can't think why I overspent, apart from the fact that I did have massive stores from App Foods, but cupboards are getting emptier.
Will try harder in May!Keeping two cats and myself on a small budget, and enjoying life while we're at it!0 -
I used to do this a couple pf years ago and it really cut my grocery spending, but then was in hospital etc and I dropped off. I need to get my spending under control again as my income has dropped over £300 a month. I am starting with a bigger budget than I did 2 years ago, as prices have changed and I need to rethink all my cooking and spending habits and cooking, so it's £225 for May for me, my 2 boys (both of whom eat like adults!) and 2 cats. I am including cleaning and paper goods, cat litter etc in that amount. I can't do a shop until I get my road tax in the morning and my cupboards and freezer are not well stocked at the moment, so it's going to be interesting!Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!0

Declaring april at £235.39 out of £240. Close - but about 310 of that was junk food for our camping trip!People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

Sneaking in late to declare a total for April of £365.97
. Not good when my budget is £300!
I have kept a very accurate total this month using online spending diary so perhaps I missed a lot of receipts in other months or I have just been very naughty! Have had a lot of BBQs due to the nice weather so at least we have enjoyed it.
Got to be better in May as holiday planned for end of month. Well done everyone else :T

Did my week's shopping today: £31.43 in Asda (which included 5 bottles of their 'protect' mouthwash at 49p as I can't get it very often, it sells out so quickly-my kids have braces so have to use an alcohol free mwash twice a day) it also included the ingredients for my son's catering exam on Thursday-a whopping £7.33, and who knows if it will be edible, lol! I also spent £3.20 for 4 packs of 4 toilet rolls in wilkies and a huge bag of their cat litter reduced to £1.50 as the bag was split and taped: so that's a total of £36.13. The kids get excellent free school meals, so only take a piece of fruit for break time. I will just need to buy bread by the end of the week as I planned my meals for the week before I went (hallelujah that I remembered to take my shopping list-it really made a difference!)Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!0

Well i`ve been rubbish at keeping up with the thread and i`ve also lost count with my totals
I`ve been waiting for DH to return from a few days away to collect the missing receipts and there are still two missing so my best educated guess is approx £180 for our food and £48 for the pets. I would like to declare these as my totals please MrsM.
£20 ish over for us and slightly under for the animals so not too bad.
The main problem is that we keep having to get extras in for DH to take with him when he is away. Everything has to be tinned or packets but still far cheaper than buying alternatives or take aways whilst he is there.
I`m also struggling with time to do things properly and keep up with the thread atm as the garden is taking a lot of my time, i need to get ahead though as it will be providing food for us in the warmer months so that is one thing that i will not let slip.
Fingers crossed for May - better go and find the thread lol.
