Morning, all. Just popped on to add my first spend of April so here goes:
Spent £1.50 at Spar on a pint of milk and punnet of mushrooms for lunch (in meatballs with tomato sauce and pasta). I'd been agonising over whether or not to use the mushies in the dish, but thought why not? In they'll go.
Congrats, Rosieben! That's some really lovely news.
I think it'll be a snack tea later as the meatballs will be quite a big meal at lunchtime. I made some shank soup earlier in the week so I'll have some of that, and DH can have a bacon sandwich if he gets hungry. I've said I won't do any baking as we're trying to lose a bit of weight, so I'm spending lots of time in the garden instead trying to get that a bit neater. Plus, I've got my eye on one of those Cobb barbecues so we can eat outside any time without firing up the big BBQ...
Have a good day, everyone. I'll update my sig now.

Congratulations!
It's a relief when all goes well and it's always nice when the do all the right things straight off!
Sorry for not updating but we're having a bit of a mare! Had meeting for DS at school where they think he's ADHD so have had to start off the assessment process then one of my kids at school came down with measles.:eek:. Blood test has shown I'm not immune so am now at home for a statutory 21 days! There goes the budget.Sister in law was coming up to look after DS as DH away with work and MiL not up to teeny terror full days and I was supposed to be working. She's bringing a friend and her wee one (which wasn't really discussed). All up in the air! So now it will be meals for 4 adults and 2 kids. I foresee a lot of pasta in our future this week. In saying that I won't be out to the shops until I'm sure I won't be spotty so I also foresee a few NSD's.
Budget is £250 this month and am planning on sticking to it this time!0 -
Pennygrabber - love the recipe for the choc pots - gonna do that, its such a shame that i'll be the only one who will eat it!!!
Spiggle - DH now has a £15 a week budget to do with as he please and so do I. Stops me feeling resentful and makes him mindful of what he is spending it on. I bought a new cool bag today which I wouldn't of done before pocket money times - its lovely, £6 from TKMax - in the shape of a shopping basket and its collapsible so easier to store. Didn't feel worried about buying it as it came from MY money so thank you for the idea hun, and, how are you keeping - hope you are doing ok
Spent £3 yesterday so need to update siggy
Rosieben - congrats on the lovely news

I have just had a look in my cuboard and freezer, damn i have a lot of stuff ive forgotten about. I feel like my £75 budget for this month is very high. I'm not going to buy a single thing until I have ran out backups. I wonder how long it will all last... Freezer does need defrosting so i should get busy and eat it all.
Ive blown it already. Just got back from asda, as i had to get some flowers for my step mum. I ended up buying an extra special pizza, reduced to £1.30 (I couldn't resist, in the freezer for tomorrow night), double stuff oreos for 80p and some milk, 45p. Bad start.Total debt Aug 2012: £3800, Nov: £3225, Dec: £3151.45 2013: Jan: £1544.24 :j Feb: £1492.03Sept 2013: Debt free
