First spend of the new month £7.18 at local MrT
Stood staring at the price markers on the mince packs - price per pack and price per Kg - till I believed what I was reading :rotfl:
The cheapest pack was the only one not on 'special offer'0 -
Thanks sistercas - sorry I don't know how to 'quote' people. Do you use red or white wine? I will look into buying just for cooking if it's cheap, thanks :-)*** PROPHECY_GRRL****** DEBT FREE AS OF 17/10/11 - I DID IT!!! ***0

prophecy_grrl if you look along the bottom of SisterCas's post, there are various buttons. One of those buttons says 'QUOTE' . If you click on that button it will open up a reply window with SC's post in. You just type your reply in there as normal and click the 'submit reply' button as normal.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0

Thanks to everyone who sets up and runs this thread it is really making me watch every penny and is allowing me to snowball where as before i was treading water and getting no where! :j
I would just like to declare £0.84 on a 2l bottle of squash from the co0p as i was just passing. Used the last bottle up yesterday and didnt fancy just plain water untill i could get to mr T for their faithful 22p bottle this coming monday. Still have change from this weeks food allowance which i think is a first but all spare is going in a pot for snowballing or for putting into the emergancy fund.. both of which the last 2 mnths have gone in the right direction!:money:still cant believe i walked round the whole store and just came out with squash:rotfl:
Is any one else finding their waste bins are not filling up as much with all the frugality?.... i used a bag of past their best peppers and 1/2 punnet of mushrooms and some other wrinkly veg in a pot of hm soup yesterday that made 6 portions of stuff that normally i would have thrown out the following day!HSBC [STRIKE]£3223.20[/STRIKE] £2060.00Cap1 [STRIKE]£1724.91[/STRIKE] £1782.00OD [STRIKE]£939.78[/STRIKE] £200.00No 49 of £2012 in 2012.. £645.10 so far & Crazy Clothes £14.09/£100.00 ReducingtheToiletryStash2012 UU12/IN 20 March Grocery 0.00/£65.00 & LbsNot£s Lost 14Lbs0 -
Hiya
Please put me down for £200 again for April.
Thanks0 -
destroyer I know what you mean about the bins. I didn't even put my bin out this week, and its on a 2 week rotation. There was nothing in it. The food peelings box went out but that was it. Its amazing the difference this thread has made. Tonight is fairly limp peppers and onion into fajitas.GC Mar 13 £47.36/£1500

Afternoon, everyone. So far have managed two NSDs in a row (I feel really good about myself!) I've managed to find work-arounds for meals with ingredients I didn't have, so I feel pretty good about myself (although I've just caved in and had a big chunk of cheese as a snack - bad me...
) Anyway, hopefully going to have another NSD tomorrow, so fingers crossed!
Piri Piri Prawn stir fry for tea tonight, and meatballs with tomato sauce and pasta tomorrow. DMiL is over, so I wanted to do something special (that I know I won't get wrong!) Have a good evening, everyone.
