Hostas don't really like to be fussed with, I have a lot in pots, and lots in the ground, I never feed them, just put them in and pick off the dead leaves, they do like to be watered though. I love the fact that they come up again and again, and get bigger each year.

Hope your dd feels better soon, poor little mite xx

Cheapskate, so sorry to hear about the dog xxx

    Morning my lovelies :D

Brrrr it's freezing here but sun is sort of out :)
I would like to apologise to my neighbours for the fact that not only have my kids been noisy AND outside from just after 8am this morning DD has been singing Katy Perry's Firework (well her version anyway) at the top of her voice :o:o

All behind after spending the day round at my mums yesterday so have a long list of things to catch up on.
On the list so far is:
    Clean the kitchen
    Dust Lounge
    Dust Landing
    Put vac round EVERYWHERE
Make some Orange Breakfast Muffins (H has a load of tangerines he wants using up as he's the only one who eats them so thought they might sub well for this Nigella recipe ;))
Chop and freeze 2 bags of basics peppers - they were all orange or red peppers yesterday, not a green one in sight :T

Will see how I get on with that :o
I also want to sort out my wardrobe too.......

    Tea is chinese chicken.

Hester - Why are Management not doing the talking to this person? You should not be expected to have to do this but also why should she really listen to you if you're a colleague? Surely it would have more impact coming from management?

cheapskate - You're not a big girls blouse, pets ARE family. So blub away, we all miss our furry little friends. I've sobbed my eyes out at watching a pidgeon gasp it's last breath :o Hugs for you and the family xx

Redruby - Good luck to Miss RR with her GCSE :T

Hugs, spoons and high fives all round. Have a good day OS or not.

    Morning All,

Bed stripped and in the washing machine and DW on. DH, DS2 gone to work and DS3 gone to school. DS3 did his best to get a day off saying his tummy was still upset and he had been up all night (he was off yesterday) but I know that he hasn't as I have been up most of the night and he was fast asleep every time I checked:cool: so he has had a shower and gone in, I am sure he will survive:cool:

No idea what to do for tea tonight but may do steak and chips for the boys and a tuna salad for me.

All my seeds went out in the cold frame last night and seem ok this morning, its overcast here but may try the bedding on the line anyway.

My DB and his wife are calling for lunch today after dropping mum and dad at manchester airport so we will go across the road for a carvery (only £3.99) so not too expensive.

Have lots more ebay parcels to post. Have made £25 in the last 24hrs so pleased with that. need to do some more listing as I am going to get rid of our clutter before we go to Oz, no point in shipping the clutter from the loft over there to sit and clutter up another room

BB I am on my way to the freebies to pick up some seeds and will have a visit to Poundland this wk to try and get some hostas, already have a couple of lovely ones in the garden

Hugs to those who need one, HH good luck with the confrontation
Miecheroux I love little boys in shorts but I don't think I could persuade my youngest as he is 14 and six foot already:rotfl:

    Morning All,

Cool and grey here this morning. Boys are away to school, they have been walking since last week, and are thoroughly enjoying it. I am having a heart attack every morning, mind you! Had a lovely breakfast of scrambled eggs, veggie sausage mushrooms and a tomato. Still struggling with eggs but I am not fond enough of scrambled tofu, so it's the lesser of two evils :o Dinner tonight for the menfolk will be soup and sausage rolls, I am having stir fry and tofu.

Hope you are all well, take care.

DW emptied and loaded. I put the tablet in the basket and it worked a treat :D

Sharing a bag of micro popcorn with DC3 and watching Dora. We've just been shouting "Swiper! no swiping! Swiper! no swiping!" and "There's a bear! behiiiiiiiiind you!!" :D The things we do for kids :rotfl:

Will probably have lemon chicken with spring veg. noodles tonight. I have 3 chicken breasts to use up from yesterday so I reckon I can slice it and make it stretch to 4 of us. DH is away tonight so won't be eating with us, there definatly wouldn't be enough then :)

Just off to sort some washing out.

    Morning All

Bright start but rain is forecast this afternoon.
I have a line of washing out so it can dry naturally and I will get it in and finish it in the TD if it does rain.
Not much planned for today apart from a potter in the garden this morning and housework if it rains.

Hester I hope it goes well today, there is nothing worse than someone slacking when others are working their socks off.

Cheapskate sorry to hear about your DS's much loved dog x

have a great day all x

    Morning All!
Quite chilly here this morning, must turn the heating up!:rotfl:

Going out soon to see a friend who's birthday is tomorrow, then going swimming. .ot a man coming to take away my garden shed this afternoon
Advertised it for free, had a bloke say he was coming yesterday, didn't turn up:mad: So rang another who wanted it and he's coming today (I hope) honestly, if you are giving it away free you think they'd bother wouldn't you?:o
Next Monday my landscaper is coming to give my garden a makeover, will be sooo pleased when it's done, it looks a tip at the moment!:rotfl:

Had a good night's sleep last night, took some pills, that did it! I haven't been sleeping well recently, going down at 9pm and waking at 2am:eek: Sprained my ankle in fall last week too so that didn't help:o

Anyway, HH -Hope your meeting goes well.

Got my cousins funeral on Thursday, hope it goes okay.

    Have a good day all!
