Good point Wiggynut, I'll have a look in the shops.
It's Quark specifically I'm looking for, OH is a journo, want a 'free' version for home PC to enable freelance work.
Anybody got one I can buy? Don't really want to spend £500 on the latest version...
I might have a copy - probably not this one but from another magazine but I would need to have a look through my disks - I used to have a full copy but a friend of a friend nicked it!
I'll check tonight and let you know if I find it.Light bulb moment April 07: [strike]£3,655 [/strike] Oct 07: [strike]£2,220[/strike] now 0 - 3 years of Uni debt to be added at a later datenow at Uni as a Mature student -update: now has a First Class BA!0 -
I'm not too sure how easy it is to transfer this freebie as it was quite an involved registering process that had to be completed within acertain timespan.
Good luck hunting, sorry I can't help more.0 -
Thanks again Wiggynut. Apparently it was on PC Advisor May 2007 (issue 142) as well, have sent them an enquiry about ordering the back issue but if you could check as you say I'd be very grateful!0

hmm... sorryI've got PC pro May issue! I always get them mixed up.
I tend to buy whatever magazine has the best software on it.
I'm buying computer arts tomorrow so I will have a quick scan to see if Quark is appearing elsewhere - one magazine tends to get to offer it first but then the other mags follow! I often have several copies of the same software without meaning to
Try searching on the web as companies as big as Quark will find other ways to find new customers and will not stick to one way - ie PC Advisor.
I'm sure you will get a copy soon... I've had at least two copies before but unfortunately one got ruined - teach me not to store my cds correctly and the other got nicked!
good luck
