How much longer is this edition of the mag going to be available in the shops? Can't seem to find one anywhere! Has the distribution ended?
don't know where you are darbooka, but it might be worth checking out your local Tesco stores

I got one yesterday in Tesco Metro Dundee & they'd loads left on the rack
  • To how ever found this offer THANKS!!!!!!!!

Got the mag on Monday, had a wee bit of trouble installing it, but got it up and running Tues am and its great:T .

I'm no computer wizz but have managed to produce a fairly complex grid for our diary that I could never have managed with Word and I'm not v. comp literate.

My newsagent had 3 copies of the CD version yesterday.
If anyone wants one desperately and cannot get one themselves I'll willing grab one and forward it on for the cover price and the cost of the postage.

  • Hi darbooka.

Officially it's on sale until 13th December, but as you say many shops have already sold out. If you can't find a copy in the shops, you could try calling Dovetail on 0845 126 0389 and they may be able to send you a copy of the magazine and the CD/DVD directly. Unfortunately, it will cost a bit more than a copy from the shops as stocks are limited - prices are £10 for the CD version and £15 for the DVD version.

    Hope this helps.

Tried Dovetail, who say they can't send me copy of the mag. Is this because I'm not a subscriber?

    Sorry! :D

    Hi NJH,

Apologies - I've just spoken to them and they should send out copies to non-subscribers as well as subscribers. If you have any more problems with them, please email me at steve_haines@dennis.co.uk.

  • You’ll have to buy the CD version for the tutorial and upgrade offer, though!

This was the quote in the email I was sent from Steve Haines, a very nice man who did indeed send me a DVD copy of the programme. Hope this helps, mosaic.
  • so much for the quark cover-mount cd mention. did the donload and registration last night, and it's all working beautifully.
I lost my access to quark when I upgraded from my imac to an intel mac [quark doesn't work on intel macs, except the latest versions, and we all know now how much it costs]. having worked with quark for years [was a print journo] I'd become accustomed to using quark [having mysteriously acquired a copy for home use] for all kinds of my own stuff [calendars, cards, all kinds]. and now, thanks to my partner having moved in and our pc and mac being sat side by side and me being pc-literate [now an online journo], I can make my own xmas cards this year! am a happy bunny :j

If anyone in the Midlands is still looking, Tesco at Monkspath Solihull had several CDs and ONE DVD left half an hour ago.

I got my magazine on Monday 4th from our local Tesco and installed it last night - despite having dial up connection it all worked perfectly and didn't take long - I just followed the instructions that came up when I put the CD in and it took me through each step

the validation code came through almost immediately after I registered on Quark and I then was able to finish installation with no problems - thank you to all involved!!!
