I bought this just now in Tesco but it cost me £4.99, not that I should complain! Just going to try and install it now!0

I think the DVD version of the magazine is £4.99, while the CD version (which I picked up today) is £3.50.0 -

Well there only seemed to be one option for me..... or maybe I didn't look properly. To be honest it's new terrain for me, but the £1.50 difference isn't a patch on the £800 software! Now - how do I use it?!! Have been looking for a manual.....:j0 -
For a cheap copy of a how to book try The Works, or a second hand book store.
Failing that, you might be able to find a copy on Ebay.
Your 3rd option is to pick a project, and google for an article.
Incidentally, if you have something that you are going to use a lot, templates are a must.0 -
Thought it would just be PC - a Mac version would put too much of a dent into their profits!!! Mind you even giving this PC version away is uncharacterisically generous of Quark... the tight gits!!!!
Thanks for the info anyway"Whatever happened to string?"0 -
Forgive my dumbness, but is there any particular advantage in getting the mag with the DVD version and paying the extra, or is the CD exactly the same content?!
Thanks

Numpty question:
I want to export a QuarkXpress document in pdf but do not have Acrobat Distiller installed (nor are likely to as it costs a bit.) Can anyone recommend a free/shareware pdf creation app which will work with QX?

There are extra applications on the DVD version which are not available on the CD version. With the CD version you get QuarkXpress and 20000 bits of clip art. On the DVD you get all this, plus another 20000 bits of clip art and a load of other applications.0
