My son works in Asda when not at Uni, on the tills etc - he uses hand wash, not because he picks his knose but because when customers
insist on touching him he does not know if they washed their hands when they just went to the toilet!
My wife works there too - the number of rude, arrogant and damned cheeky customers is beyond a joke.

He picks his what lol ! no seriously I agree with every word you say, I use hospital grade sanitiser every time I come out of any shop !!

Ill waffle stuff as i think. In waitrose anyone notice some women on checkouts seam to be overly chatty? and take twice as long as any other supermarket to process conveyour belt.

I have seen women with trolly buggys chatting in corridoor the middle i usualy purposly catch there trollies as a hint lol.

I knoticed theres always someone looking exacly where you want and rest isles empty and i pretend sometimes to look at other stuff as i want to stand there having a good gander at items lol. Id never stand infront of them. I seen people just standing waiting lenth ways blocking 3 metres and me trying to look at items with difficulty lol and they reluctant to move.

I struggle to not get annoyed with seriously obeise wide people taking up three quarters of the isle space they should go shoppin in middle of night lol when its empty.

I never get much issue at checkouts i wonder if some people just take advantage and sterotype people, i'm 26 old male and guess i could appear intimidating :s but am pretty nice and laid back friendly. Never had que jumping or putting items downn or other stuff said on here.

I have had many old people be ignornat and stuff just lingering around chatting knowing they blatently in the way and not caring in slightest.

I try be calm as worked in tesco years ago on checkouts and relise it is highly difficult to stock shelf due to mass on customers tutting and expecting you to miracluous sence them before they even there to move lol, was well bad on bread isle from memory.

I hate when people stand at end of till rearraging there trolly for ages and i'm standing there waiting to put my trolly at end to start packing and whole process is held up, usually middle aged to older women dithering needlessly.

annoying when people dont have cards ready and spend 2 mins dithering for them in there bag etc.

The staff sometimes give you one bag at a time now, I know this is cause people put whole wods of bag in trollies ( usually to take homes a degradble bing bags) but still annoying running out every min surly they can leave more and a few bags at end of till.

I hate people with colds working on till and felt like running away with her coughin on my stuff. Stay at home please lol.

asda must be cheap as it rams as much crap as possible into tinny spaces and rams baskets of stuff in middle of isles.

By the way some said about being id'd they worker can be fined procecuted now not store for under age selling so not worth risk i rarly get asked for booze but in morrison got asked for id for scratch cards !!!!!! lol i look 16 easily hahaha.

This threads very funny some replies i seen and glad see everyone pet hates haha

I may get shot down for this but why do people feel need to take there dogs to pets at home? and let them s**t on the floor and sniff and rub my legs. I know i guess have expect it but just seam excentric to me to walk dogs round a pet supermarket lol like a novelty it is allowed. I blank people with dogs usually and look super unintrested in small talk and look of smiles from whatever things they think there pets is doing cute that is acually most likely annoying everyone in the que

It like oooh the adverts show can take your pets and are welcome lets rush out to pets at home for a trip out as it is allowed. We may even be able to show off our dogs to others. I guess i slightly byast unsure how to spell it ha but i more cat person. I shouldtake my snake down there for a slither around

With having worked on the checkouts i wasnt overly chatty to people, i would say hello and goodbyes etc, i scanned the food quickly(within reason) so the customer could get out of the door as they dont want to spend any more time in the supermarket.

I hate it when customers in front decide to chat to the till operator which means stuff is getting scanned slowly

I have no evidence whatsoever to back this up but I imagine 99% of all the shops that sell pet products do not allow you to take pets in. You are seriously complaining about the one shop that does? It's not a novelty to take your dog to Pets at Home. It's downright helpful when you need to get a new harness and your dog is a weird shape.

I'm sorry, but please get a sense of perspective. If you want to buy your pet food without being 'annoyed' by other dogs that probably don't even go near you, why not try the supermarkets or all the other shops where no pets are allowed?

Thought of another one that really annoys me both on public transport and in shops. People buying small items or paying on cards and not being ready to pay. You've been in the queue for five minutes, you bought one bottle of coke, you didn't pack it into a bag and you paid with a two pound coin. Why exactly did you feel then need to wait until the last minute to rifle around in you purse in order to find your cash? It's bad enough in supermarkets but even worse on buses, little old ladies who use the same route everyday and have been waiting for the bus for half an hour, for some reason feel the need to slow down my journey for five minute while they look for there bloody bus pass!

Another 1 from me, what i hate is when people cant decide where they're going eg a customer with a trolley decides to go 1 way and im walking behind and then the customer stops so i start to walk round them then the customer decides to carry on just as im passing them, 1 day i will have a customer push they're trolley into me and i wont be happy about it, some people just arent capable of driving a car, pushing a trolley and just using common sense

I find it really annoying when people who are having a good, long, look at a shelf have their trolly parked right next to the shelf, immediately along side them thus making it hard for other customers to get anything from several feet of shelving.

But then I've found myself doing exactly the same thing. :embarasse

To the man who came up to the belt in my local Tesco this morning, and saw me still loading my shopping but dropped the divider halfway up the belt anyway so I couldn't fit everything on, I really hope you enjoy your squashed flat Tomatoes, because while you weren't looking I dropped my massive bag of Potatoes on them. :D

Next time, don't be so bloody rude and wait until I have finished.
