Cheers Sirdan, I'll have a think tonight and tomorrow as to whether I'll offer token payment, the only downfall is that I'm not keen to reply as I don't want o admit I was the driver.

Coupon-Mad, yes thanks I have checked out the many many pages of discussion but I does get rather confusing, also the letters stored under parking eye aren't quite the same a those which I have received, albeit in terms of the 'branded letters' they are.

I really appreciate your advice so many thanks to you both. I hadn't noticed the letters were fom th same address!! It's just totally shocking how they can do this. I was mainly worried as I had parked at the same place as Smithy...

As read on many web sites and forums I have ignored all letters from parking eye,today received a letter from debt collector agency saying if i dont pay within 7 days a solicitor wll be instucted to take it further, what to do now?

Hello,
Could you help, I parked in Gordano Services in Portishead and also had a fine pop thorugh my door from Parking Eye, scared the life out of me due to the cost, I wrote an email explaining that I had overstayed by 30 minuted but thought the charge was too much, I explained I couldn't afford to pay it all in one go. They wrote back agreeing a payment plan in 3 stages and that I had to sign to say I agreed, I did this and sent the first cheque for £20,I have now seen these posts and wish I looked first, can someone advise that if I have agreed and signed I need to contiue paying or should I ignore, I don't want any penalities or court action, thanks in advance :-)

Take the time and trouble to read through ther threads and stickies including the Watchdog video and the advice will be an unambiguous 'ignore'.
