There is nothing stopping anyone ringing Northampton court and asking them what the court fee is. I have done this and was told that £15 is correct, I can only go off this information.

I always feel a written response is better, so here it is (took them 3 days to answer !)

Odd isn't it ? I have seen another scanned claim on pepipoo with the £15 fee on (also issued by NCCBC this year) ....I wonder if the mystery will ever be solved.

Have a look here it could answer the £15 issue?

    http://www.alliedfactors.com/courtfees.htm

Seems if they issue a lot of claims they get to pay £15! Fees are from 04/2011 but they may have been the same before?

I never said he was so I don't need to apologise .

However how genuine this case is still remains to be seen...no one can really judge it pre hearing IMO. (and possibly not even after, Stephen Thomas case has been described as a set-up but it could just as easily be a genuine case where the defendant to the claim is ..er...well...an idiot ...basically.)
