Jojo, I may have posted this before but when my late sis and I lived at home if we didn't clear our room (from when we were 9 btw) then EVERYTHING on the floor was put in a black bin bag and dumped in the shed and locked in there, three times and on the fourth it was all binned!

This has the advantage of a) clearing the floor and b) decluttering :D, you could do something similar BUT wash the clothes and charity shop them, same with any CD/DVDs etc (well not washed but re-cased and CSed) oh and keep the school uniform back and tell DD that if she wants them back then she has to earn them back!
Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup :D

  • Evening all

Hugs/spoons to all who need or want them and healing vibes to all who are feeling under the weather.

This afternoon I have done a little pootling in the garden, with the help of dogbot, who stole my gloves and proceeded to start having a grand old time with them.

The washing mountain is down to the last load and I have had a nice relaxing bath. I've also hoovered through upstair and hoovered and turned DD and DS mattresses while I waited for the bath to fill up:D

OH still isnt back from his ride but did ring to say that he got a couple of punctures and would be late, as I do worry when he goes off alone.

Well Im off now to ensure DD has everything she needs before she does of to KH1's.

Hope you all have a lovely evening and I'll see all tomorrow.

    Farmers' market tomorrow morning
Ooh, same here! I've made a list, and my lovely, lovely man will go and get the stuff.:A I'm hoping the butter lady is there - we'll get some of her delicious unpasteurised cream, some of which I'll use to make a quiche for our dins.

I'm still feeling decidedly grotsville, so Mr LW:A is making jacket spuds with baked beans for us - I think it'll be ready in a mo, from the sounds coming from the kitchen.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • Walked through the market at 5.35pm (having been to the bank and found out that FW hasn't got around to putting the maintenance in again, just to add to my woes) and had a load of new potatoes waved in front of my face by the stall holder.

20p. Only had to throw away two green spuds. Stuck some in the steamer. Now completely potatoed out. [burp]

I have a bottle of Diet Coke and some JD or Southern Comfort in the fridge. The evening may improve my mood, or at least ensure I have a reasonably early night after practicing my scales and modes (ugh).
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

    Thanks everyone.

She's 11, 12 in June. She has already been dumped by her first BF, but I didn't say that it was probably because she's minging and he was trying to not hurt her feelings. Teasing about the dirty shoes turned into 'Everybody hates my shoes because they're stupid' and stropped out in ASDA because I refused to buy her a £3 pair of ankle breakers (she's hypermobile and will end up permanently injured if she wears them) just because they didn't need to be cleaned. The current argument is that there is a hole in the £75 'stupid' shoes - that she chose herself. Probably due to attacking them with a pair of scissors, if I know her - I haven't even looked at them - as she can't get away with the 'they're too small for me!' screeches any more, as all I do is take her to be measured and they say her size hasn't changed.

No mothers' day cards for me again, I suspect.

So I booked an electronic composition workshop for tomorrow evening as my present to myself. He can have the revolting creature and be kept hanging around whilst I travel back, rather than me have to be in for his (and her) convenience. If she's taken her keys, he'll just dump her at the front gate anyway.

Ugh. Should have got a puppy instead. Can't understand why people have children. (Who does that remind me of? :D)
Lol - she is definitely my DD's twin. She is anti washing or brushing her teeth, I sometimes squeeze a small blob of toothpaste into the brush to see how long it is before she does them . I have today had to take an industrial strength scrubbing brush to her shirt collars. We too have filthy shoes and this week she cut the ankle straps off her clarks shoes as "its such a pain to have to lean on someone to do them up after assembly" !!!!!!. After being threatened with everything including replacing them with her birthday money I've left her to it and will not replace them at all. If & when they finally fall to pieces she can replace them herself and when they are trashed within a week then she can replace them again until such time as she realises that I bought her the best. Today she has dragged me up to town (as I wont let her go alone) to spend some of her birthday money on tat in the newly opened primark. Wonder how long that will last.

We too have done the binbag thing, I drove round for weeks with them in the boot of the car and she didnt care. I have tried everything in the book and fought every battle and still have the scars to prove it. My Dd will only do what she wants, when she wants and the only person getting stressed was me. Now, I cant worry about the state of her room or whether her school clothes are ready she's the one who gets the detentions when she hasnt got what she needs. She will learn the hard way - probably like I did at her age!

    Good luck x

Fire lit - I'm burning old pallets, which burn very fast and hot.

Supper cooking - pheasant casserole and potato gratin from the freezer, with broccoli, carrots, peas and beans.

Not much else is going to happen here tonight. Sleep is very appealing!

    Evening all

Once it'd finished raining here this morning it turned into a beautiful day and I managed to get the following done:

Putting towels onto wash - Done and dried out on the line
Listing some things on ebay - Done - 23 items all listed
Sorting through the rest of my clothes for things to go to cs or bin - 1 bag dropped off at the charity bin
Reading - currently on 'Any Fool can be a Middle Aged Downshifter' - Not managed to fit this in yet
And of course surfing the net - Far too much

The neighbours cat also popped in for an hour to have his ears scratched and belly rubbed. I've got some ideas of what I want to do tomorrow....just hoping the weather stays nice so I can get it done.

    C x
