    Morning All,

Hester I am allowed to say that SW needs a slap?

Bargainird that sounds like a lot of fun with the chickens, I would love to have some but never mind the foxes, Coco would terrorise the life out of them :o

Flutterby have a lovely time and don't work too hard either ;)

Had the day from hell yesterday, won't bother talking about it, but its going to be a long couple of days...

Plan for the day is gutting the house, I never managed to do a thing yesterday despite getting up at five and going to bed at eleven. I have bread and some sort of baked goodies to make, and some things to prepare for myself, I didn't eat a couple of nights this week as I was too tired to cook / think, so need to be better organised this week. I will be making cauliflower cheese and a spinach bake of some sort.

Weighed in this morning, and another 2kg / 4lbs off :j

Have good days everyone, hugs spoons and hi fives where required.

    Jackie XXX

ETA Happy Birthday kazzaw, hope its a great day :) :bdaycake:

NPM Hope your little boy settles soon

Well we are up but not quite at em! Off to the car boot today partly to have a look and partly to find out details for selling all the junk we have accumulated. We can get that done when we move house and whatever we make can be put towards the new carpet and bathroom that needs doing before we move in!!!

    Have a great day everyone

Hello Claudiac and anyone else who is interested:
    Fajitas spice mix
½ tsp salt or 1 teaspoon
1 tblsp paprika or 4 tablespoon
1 crushed chicken stock cube or a heaped tsp of chicken b1sto or 2 tablespoon chicken b1sto
1 teasp chilli pepper or 1 tablespoon
1 teasp ground cumin or 1 tablespoon
1 tsp ground coriander or 1 tablespoon
1 tsp garlic powder or 1 tablespoon
1 tsp dried oregano or 1 tablespoon
Large splash lime juice - optional
The amounts in blue are for 1 meal e.g. 4 chicken breasts. I generally make a larger quantity (red) and store in a screw top jar. I use 2½ tablespoons for 5 chicken breasts and 2 tablespoons for 3 steaks. 1 tablespoon goes with the green peppers and onions.
Hope that is a help, my DGSs love it, Silver x

    Morning my lovelies :D

It's cold and dull here :( Missing the sunshine. One load of washing hung out in hope of it drying and another one in WM.
H has taken DS swimming. Me and DD are at home as she's got a terrible cold. Got my table top sale today so want to come back with nothing if possible!
Garden furniture needs another coat of teak oil so might start that in a mo (after i've wrapped up in my thermals).
Fed up of this changing the clocks malarky - not sure what time DS's body will switch off tonight. NPM I feel your pain xx At least DS doesn't notice the change in times.

Not sure about tea, will sort that out later.

Hugs, spoons and high fives all round. Have a good day OS or not.

JackieG - Hugs for you xxx And yes you can say that SW needs a slap ;)

flutterby - enjoy London, travel safe x

Bargainbird - am VERY envious of your chickens but sadly no room here.

Kazzaw - Happy Birthday  have a great day

    Morning all,

Bright and beautiful here, OH and I are going to tackle the front garden, there is a section under the kitchen window which gets covered in ground elder, and drives me mad, so we are going to box it off with wood, line it with weed matting and fill with stones, dont know if we will do the stones today, but will get it ready. In poundland yesterday they had Hostas 2 for £1, they are my favourite plant, so I bought 10 :o, these will go in the space under the window, should look great.

DD asked about another job yesterday :T, in a very posh clothes shop, they were very interested and told her to drop her CV in, they have another girl having a trial, but would keep dd in mind.

Bedding is in the wm, and will do dd's after, perfect drying day here, cheesy nabs for tea, bumped from yesterday, so nice and easy :T

Silver thanks for the fajita recipe, do you think a veggi stock cube would work ? dd is a veggi, but we love fajita's.

:bdaycake:Happy birthday to Kazzaw, have a great day :T

    Have fun all xx

Morning All - Just wanted to say hi, as the first post suggests. Found the thread this morning and already been on asking for a recipe! And I haven't even introduced myself, which is a bit rude! Thank you Silver for the recipe - fajitas are a big favourite in my house, but I have always wanted to do a mix of my own, since I have a cupboard full of jars of spice which rarely get used. I am trying to pick up more of the old style ways, and I look forward to checking in regularly for ideas and inspiration. You never know I might even have something useful to pass on!
Bright and breezy here so have one washing out on the line and another in the machine. I really need to get out and tidy the garden up, since I haven't done anything at all this year. Got my GS, who is nearly 2 coming this morning and staying till tomorrow night, so will get him out with me for some sweeping up.
Have a lovely day whatever you are doing.
