And how many of those work for OFT I wonder ?

    Probably not many at all.

If you are not happy about how the OFT functions perhaps state your criticism to the relevant minister in the government.

Which is what exactly ? How are you measuring that ?

why do you continually dodge answering the tricky questions ?

  • Might it be because generally speaking, I do not see your questions as tricky, malkie, but more of an unnecessary distraction ? ;)

Blue v. Orange to Malaga ... there's plainly no earthly reason for the blue prices to include false figures, or is there? Maybe it's just about enhancing the clickthrough rate at any price ?

Perhaps this will put an end to the dodgy advertising brigade:

    http://www.atab.org.uk/2011/03/atab-wins-battle-as-ryanair-and-jet2-com-agree-to-be-upfront-about-prices/

I think the title says it all "Ryanair and Jet2.com agree to be upfront about prices"

Which presumably means they're not upfront about prices at the moment .........

Thanks tingtong, I had taken to looking at Jet2 just before you posted and in one case I found a Leeds-Malaga flight marked up front as Lowest Fare £3.99 which became a minimum of £29.99 two clicks later !

I am sure that Channel Express, Jet2's ancestor company has more than once been described as fly-by-night (mail flights, flowers and newspapers, silly :p) but an unlawful markup of +650% would surely be beyond the pale* for even Jet2's wannabelike competitor Ryanair !

The booking engines of Jet2, Easyjet and Ryanair look so similar now that the false-pricing of two out of the three sticks out like a sore-thumb. I guess Jet2 and Ryanair are holding out another month or THREE  just so they can grab an inflated share of one more summer market using the nefarious practice.
