How do you avoid paying the on-line check-in fee ... apart from paying even more to check-in at the airport?

Is there a small leprechaun holding a gun to your head when you get to the final payment confirm screen?
No, there isn't, so what's the problem?
You don't pay for something you don't agree to, so if you don't like RyanAirs flexible pricing structure then choose another carrier or method of transport.Legal team on standby0 -
Here you are again malkie76 condoning unlawful marketing and being contrary to the consumerist viewpoint. Why do you post such unhelpful stuff as this on Ryanair threads?
Ryanair is Europe's largest airline by far as far as most MSE'ers are concerned and there is very little competitive choice yet you cannot resist your silly "don't like it go somewhere else" suggestion at every opportunity.
Have you anything sensible to say in the consumer interest about the lawfulness of what Ryanair are currently doing with their misleading price labelling on their website booking system?
I see dmg24 decided to leave the scene when I asked her outright about para 3.(3)(b) - what about you?0 -
So, someone is forcing you to use RyanAir?
Can you highlight any inaccuracies in my post?
Edit
I'm not a lawyer but the people at the OFT etc are. They have no issue with RyanAir, so by definition they are doing absolutely nothing wrong. I know you don't think so, but with respect, that's your opinion and nothing more.
The OFT and the ASA (I think that's their name) make companies withdraw TV and newspapers adverts all the time, but don't touch RyanAir, so by the judgement of the people who matter; RyanAir are fine.
Don't like their methods then use someone else.Legal team on standby0 -

By purchasing a promotional fare where available. Alternatively, pay the fee.0 -

Sorry cactusdust you have to agree that you shot yourself in the foot with the check in fee!
Or are promotional fares available for all flights on all days?0 -

Maybe I did.. however it's a shame I didn't bazooka myself because that online check-in fee is a right pesky one. As you so rightly infer, the online check-in fee is not avoidable on some fares. However some fares do not feature the check-in fee.
I'm so sorry, I'm just a bigoted Ryanair fan.0 -
The typical MSE response is to accuse you of working for RyanAir because you defend them.Legal team on standby0

Persil washes whiter...........now we all know that it doesn't.a mars a day helps you work rest and play...what cobblers.....a £7 ryanair promotional fare can cost you £7,correct.yes..........but if the time/day/airport doesn't suit you then hard luck......if after all the ryanair add-ons that you have to pay for YOUR chosen airport/time/day is less than easyflyjet2 then book ryanair,if not go elsewhere.......simple aint it.....But if you believe that cos he advertises flights for £7 it should apply to you then wake up and smell the coffee.........It's called advertising.....it's not the first gospel according to luke.Political?....I dont do Political....well,not much!0

I have had many flights this year on FR for under £7.00
It's not totally out of the grasp of people who don't moan about them to avoid the fees.0
