I love it! Michael O'Leary is now getting blamed for Jet2.com's marketing policy! This space has been intentionally left blank0 -
..but if the time/day/airport doesn't suit you then hard luck......
And that is wrong because?
Michael O'Leary makes it perfectly clear that if you want to do business with him, you do it on his terms and not yours. If the likes of Boeing, Airbus and some of the world's largest airports can't make him change that attitude, why do a handful of people looking to book a week on the Costas with a bag that's slightly bigger than they agreed to take onboard think that they can?
The people who say "if you don't like it, go elsewhere" are absolutely right. Ryanair are not a public service and they are not the only airline. There are other options available, you just might have to go out of your way to find it.
Am I a Ryanair fan? Absolutely I am. That's partly because I can remember the "good old days" of air travel where a hop over the Irish Sea used to cost nigh-on £300 return.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Hallelujah. I totally agree with what whatmichaelsays says.

So basically you cactusdust and you whatmichaelsays and you antenna and you malkie76 just do not give two hoots to whether the promotion of false prices which materially distorts or is likely to materially distort the economic behaviour of the average consumer with regard to the product is occurring on Ryanair's website with the majority of transactions?
So why are you here offering opinions like that on MSE ? You clearly don't belong here as you have nothing useful to say.
I am concerned about any service provider also responsible for public safety acting unlawfully in a deliberate manner in any capacity because it shows that they are taking the law into their own hands.
One or more of you count yourselves as "aviation geeks". Can you count the ways in which this company might be taking the law into its own hands which might distort employee behaviour perhaps thereby compromising public safety as opposed to simply distorting the economic behaviour of the average consumer in ways you do not wish to hear?
How much do you actually know about aviation?
How much do you know about whether the dispatchers and cabin crew can count heads accurately? How much do you know about what cabin crew are supposed to be doing during taxying when actually they are counting scratchcards, Mars bars and tired sandwiches, and then laboriously accounting for them often in poor light on a sheet which has grown now to list maybe 60 items of stock on one sheet in print so small that the average person would need a magnifying glass to distinguish between them? Can you suggest what on earth that has to do with safe conduct of a flight?
How much do you know about the feelings of pilots who feel they need to persuade cabin crew to join a trades union during a flight?
It strikes me that you may all enjoy your cheap flying up above the clouds so much that you now are fully signed up members of Michael's Cloud Cuckoo land when it comes to analysing how you got up there.0 -
When I first came over to England in the '80's, I could not afford to fly home at all for years as the flight costs were too expensive.
I have to admit that I love having the ability to go home and see my mother and brothers on a more regular basis now. I have just bought a flight for next week and the actual price was less than the advertised one when I clicked on it, so I was happy.
I have got a prepaid mastercard to get round the card fees (got free via MSE, of course:p), only take cabin baggage and so Ryanair don't get any 'extras' from me.
My mum is 84, time with her is precious but we have had to deal with DH's redundancy and 70% drop in salary...so Ryanair is a lifesaver for me, I'm afraid.0 -
Nobody is forced to use Ryanair or any airline, if folk don't like the terms, use another means of travel that suits your needs better.
I don't like Tesco, so I shop elsewhere.
Simples..

Please dont misunderstand my posts on Ryanair.......I am an absolute convert to Ryanair and fly with them 30/40 times a year, all on promo fares,i fly when Ryanair want me to fly,not when i want to fly,if the dates suit then i will fly as i can fly anytime anyday.
I realise that times/dates/airports dont suit everybody and they cant get the bargains that i do,but such is life..........his planes are full on all the flights i take,so,he is doing something right and i dont think many on his flights complain about the price or service....so i say to the moaning minnies save your moaning to this site and fly with Easyfly2.........leave us regulars to bag all the bargain Ryanair seats.Political?....I dont do Political....well,not much!0 -

Ryanair aren't offering false prices though - that has been established. The prices that are being offered are achievable if you are prepared to travel on their terms. It is all about choice.
As for consumer behaviour, Ryanair offer plenty of positives that some of the so-called "better" airlines don't. They, for example, support regional airports. British Airways don't.So why are you here offering opinions like that on MSE ? You clearly don't belong here as you have nothing useful to say.

I don't know where to start with this, only to say that Ryanair's safety record (as well as that of other low-cost operators based in the UK and Europe) speaks for itself.I am concerned about any service provider also responsible for public safety acting unlawfully in a deliberate manner in any capacity because it shows that they are taking the law into their own hands.

I have read your posts and they are very well written, but wrong on a lot of points........Have you ever flown Ryanair?..no..reverse it...i really dont want to give you the opportunity to repeat what someone down the pub told you about Ryanair..........I think you should get out more, and remove your blinkers.....with respect.2sides2everystory wrote: »So basically you cactusdust and you whatmichaelsays and you antenna and you malkie76 just do not give two hoots to whether the promotion of false prices which materially distorts or is likely to materially distort the economic behaviour of the average consumer with regard to the product is occurring on Ryanair's website with the majority of transactions?
