Did this for the first time today. I know the t&c's say you'll get a voucher within 36 hours but in practice, roughly how long does it take to get the voucher through? I used my cc and clubcard if that makes a difference?

So I assume they give you DTD before the voucher is deducted?

Going to say this again as I know it's impossible to keep up with the posts in this thread, but to those worrying about the offer being pulled due to the spreadsheet....

Think logically - whats easier for Tesco to do.... Promise to beat ASDA's prices, then a month later turn around and admit they can't and pull the entire offer.... or....

Look at the sheet and simply reduce the prices on it to match ASDA there by halting every single one of us in our tracks, without having the public humiliation of ASDA winning the battle.

Bottom line IMHO is that we have made it incredibly easy for Tesco to stop this from happening, but they havent done a thing to stop it so just how concerned are they?? I still think when they are charging a couple of quid more than Asda on some items that they are making more money by leaving the price as is and letting millions of consumers over pay for the item while just hundreds (who use DTD) save on it than they would do by reducing the item to same price and lose the current mark up on EVERY SINGLE CUSTOMER.

ONny IMO of course, but seems logical to leave it as is to me... :D

I agree entirely. I don't want to block the SS as I'd then be a hypocrite and really selfish. YEs I want this promotion to last forever, but I'm not going to step on others to aid that.

Tesco aren't worried in the slightest. They have, however, took down lots of the promotional material and replaced it with those yoghurt. Why? Because they'll now make millions this week from those yoghurts. They're slowly adapting the prices and the T&Cs to make the changes to stop us all. All I will say is that they will never be able to match Asda for price, because they simply don't need to. Look at the After Eights. They knew the price, dropped it, but put it back up! Why? Because loads of standard shoppers will buy them at full price cancelling all of us out!

I just wanted to say thank you to all who have posted on this forum as it has really changed our (family) lives for the better, i have worked so hard for so many years and have gone without many things, holidays are something i dream of each year and say... next year but next year does not happen. Little things like this DTD has meant i have a few pennies spare in my purse and I am so happy. I actually feel like I am ahead for the first time in ages.
so thank you for your all help in finding the gems that have saved me so much money. I also find this very exciting and will miss it when its over. But until then.... tomorrow is another day.... another shop....:j I really do not feel any guilt at all about going to shop deliberately for items which will give me a discount voucher as its a legitimate offer from Mr T and I intend to use it. I have been offered a little bit of luck and I wont say no.

Awwww, what a lovely post. :A

the end is nigh... planning my next DTD shop but dont think it will be a success, like i said barely any DTD itmes in store, and this is a store where the majority of SA's have never seen a voucher. so looking at it, most of the DTD items have been purchased in the last couple of days and there will be floods of vouchers to come soon... *cough* delete the spreadsheet *cough*

Have to agree. Or else lock it down and give access only to trusted posters on here i.e. those who have actually POSTED and not just LURKED (sorry lurkers). What do you think AngelsMadv? Should be easy to do...?

bottle of comfort in every single one of my shops:D, a bit bored now though so will probably chuck in something else in red - thanks v. much to all who contribute to SS.

Not tried yet but was looking for 'normal' shopping to contribute to DS uni box (students eh?)
    Pot noodles 4 pack T £3.97 A £3. dtd £1.94 cost £2.03 (singles are £1 each at both)

Get the bloody Tesco value ones at 25p! They're just as good - I was a student for 9 years! He wants 12 tins (12 is number in a tray) of peas, 12 of beans (or fridge packs :D), 12 hotdogs, 12 stewed steak (3 for 2 at mo) 12 carrots, corn, etc etc.

Can make a meal in mins with tins! Also the instant noodles are great. The 9p penny, the 20p spaghetti. Use the value pasta sauce. Teach them to live to their means!

  • Hi

I posted about Dorito's dips, post 5763 (still unconfirmed as I haven't made it to Tesco's yet, but checked on tescos and asda website) but it's not added on to the spreadsheet yet, do I have to do it some how?
