this also happened to me (i think on purpose as the cs woman has always been horrible and she happened to be on the till that day)
take your receipt back into the store within 7 days and they have to give you a duplicate. Will be on A4 paper but they still have to accept it.

I've somehow managed to mislay my latest receipt (popped into Tesco on the way to a friend's house - changing my DTD routine obviously doesn't work for me!). Does anyone know if they'd be able to retrieve it using my clubcard and if there would still be a 7 day time period for doing so?

It's easy, and I can do it - please read my previous posts to see why I don't want to. When people post on MSE they do it to help others. That is my aim too. I have already made (cough insert a massive amount) from this promotion buying for my 13 goldfish, 4 koi carp, terrapin, mother, daughter, neighbour, work colleague lol! If it stopped tomorrow I'd be upset, but happy that Mr T can go take a running jump.

I'll not lock it unless someone gives me a non-selfish valid reason that I cannot debate out in a good debate.

Well, OK. I guess we all have our pov. :)

Anyway, I have finally caught up with the thread (phew) so am off to bed. Night all xoxoxo

I lost my receipt too, in the end I decided to write it off to save drawing attention..but it is really annoying me! I never lose receipts and to think of losing £20, it bothers me still. Customer service can print another receipt, yes. There is a 9 day period I believe, and you need details of the date, time, and what till you shopped at in store, hth.

This is exactly why I wont make the SS private (without compelling reasons)!

    HTH!

I understand all the hard work you guys are doing, finding the deals updating the sheet, posting on the forum, I was and still am more of a silent mse fan, mainly due to some lack of confidence but I am sure there are many of us silent fans who really do appreciate your efforts and while we might not have been forward to date, maybe we can find something another time to help you all. We dont take this for granted. Have a great Sunday.

Thanks for that! Not sure I'd have much chance of remembering which till I'd used though. I might go to customer services on the way out and say that I'd done the shopping for someone else and they'd like the receipt that I lost - don't think that would look particularly suspicious if you wanted to try it.

All I will say is that they will never be able to match Asda for price, because they simply don't need to. Look at the After Eights. They knew the price, dropped it, but put it back up! Why? Because loads of standard shoppers will buy them at full price cancelling all of us out!

The other thing in Tesco's favour is that if, say, I go and get a load of shopping and get a voucher for £20, I have to go and spend that voucher in Tesco's. Since I don't shop there, they're at least £20 better off and that's not counting non DTD items people might pick up nor the people who won't redeem their voucher

BTW, if you did block the spreadsheet someone would put a replacement up within hours, if not minutes, so there's absolutely no point. You can't put the genie back in the bottle.

That sounds like a plan. There is probably nothing to be concerned about full stop, I'm just a bit paranoid and worry about these things. I had used vouchers with the shop and the staff didn't seem to keen on me doing so, so I figured best not to try and get a duplicate, if it weren't for that I would have tried. Hope you get your copy okay.

    Hi

I've been monitoring this looonnngggg thread for sometime, and have been looking out for the products that are on offer for the DTD, but have found it tiring going through all the pages, so have decided to create a website.

    http:// pricecheck.somee.com (remove space)

The website will allow you to:
    - allow users to "vote" whether a product is confirmed or not
    - it will show the last 10 vote, roll over to view dates of confirmation
    - add new products, it will go through a verification stage (to filter unwanted items)

At the moment, its got a few products, too much work for one guy to add products, so we should all work together add products and benefit together.
You could, if feeling adventurous, write a script to parse the CSV file of the spreadsheet and input it into your site :p

Mmm, my OH has been grumbling a bit too. I wish I had one of those nice OHs that I read about on here who gets into the spirit of DTD and actually enjoys it/participates. It's not going to last forever!!!!

AngelsMadv - good point re stockpile, might try that one lol!!!
Me too! OH says it is disrupting my sleep pattern - dont know what he is on about as I always get up at 4.30 am to go on the computer!!!:rotfl:
