Couldnt agree more about enjoying the lovely sunshine. Did I miss something? Have you been successful in the ballot for next years marathon again? Great news if you have. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0

No, I'm not doing London next year as I didn't get in. Instead I am doing Brighton which is a week or so beforehand.
Had a lovely couple of hours outside on the patio -sadly the sun has moved round now, and with being back at work tomorrow, I fear that this may have been the last of the lovely weather that I can enjoy. Still, I am very grateful for it - has been lovely, and definitely helps the feeling of wellbeing
I'm going to head to the gym in a bit - the run this morning was great, but not enough......only 2 months til LBD season :eek:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Yes gill - certain areas are becoming sorted one way or another, leaving more space to deal with other stuff. Have also made moves to sort out some of the deeper things, so that is hugely positive for me.
The sunshine helps though - that much is for sure! But is has generally been a productive week one way or another in terms of working things through.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. But it is a process that I AM working through - it is complex and layered, so needs time. It is emotional, it brings tears, but someone last night told me that "tears help refresh the soul" so am trying to see the tears as a positive not a negative.
Can't you get your soul to drink coffee instead?I'm liking the idea of sprouty pop art. Or, how about creating an advent calendar with a sprouty surprise behind each door ?
Now to me, a sprouty surprise is flatulence caused by eating too many of the little green bullets...As to feeling all discombobulated about life, the universe & everything ... well, I think I lost my life plan back in my late teens & am desperately trying to remember what was on it.
I've never had a plan. There was a vague intention of being a millionaire playboy, but that's about it.I shall just have to wing-it on the rest.
Wing is good...As for John Barrowman in a dress and Z singing 'I am what I am'. Well two diametrically opposed images fighting in my head there. Think I'd better get on with my filing before my head explodes!
You don't want to hear me sing. There's various UN conventions proclaiming it as a weapon of mass destruction."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)
"We were born and raised in a summer haze." Adele 'Someone like you.'
"Blowing your mind, 'cause you know what you'll find, when you're looking for things in the sky." OMD 'Julia's Song'0 -

The thing for me is I can't help thinking if I really did want a proper bf SO badly why on earth haven't I got one, I don't mean to sound arrogant here but I am not hideous or (that) bonkers, I have a good job, I smell nice, everyone else has one (well more or less) and so I came to the conclusion that maybe I don't want one that badly but it is so expected that even tho I have been fine on my own I feel I should want one. Generally I do have a nice life - I stopped the diary cos it felt a bit like I only post when I feel sad and that I was sort of going round in circles - not a true reflection of my life as a whole.
And then its on to the next thing or things, the studying, the job, is that what I want? what friendships do I have? what is my perfect day? where do I live ? How do I live? Do I have kids? Do I travel? and so on.
Two of my friends have recently told me that I think too much:rotfl:
Squishes right back at ya! Sorry Buffy I didn't mean to embarrass you
Of *course* you are gorgeous - everyone can tell that! And yes, a man/babies whatever is not the be all and end all by any means. The World literally IS your oyster - no real ties (though I know you have your Mum to consider) - but really you can do whatever your heart desires and I'm sure that will come to you soon enough :A
Sorry for the hijack Hypno!
Great news on the gym and running - I have yet to venture out after the GNR. I meant to go with the running club this morning but instead was nursing an enormous hangover0 -
Z, my soul does indeed drink coffee.....but from time to time it needs a change.
Mac - its only a week since GNR isn't it? So, you are perfectly entitled to a few non running hungover days!
I've done an hour in the gym......it will be interesting to see if, having done a run this morning as well, I ache more tomorrow. Am glad I have done it, though, so at this point in time that is the main thing!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes.
