Ooo shoes, rugby and a pampering at the hairdressers. Great Saturday planned there Hypno can I join you?
Buffy, I think you need to talk to Souk. She is so sorted about the bf issues and that expectation that others throw at you when you dont have one. Be happy with being you and you are so right about possibly not really wanting one at the moment. I think your friends might be right too about the over thinking I do that sometimesSome days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -
Thank you for the feedbback folks xx I am v embarrassed now!
Really Sorry Hypno, didn't want this to turn into another poor Buffy thing, I should never have posted! cos most of the time I am fine! was just thinking aloud not really looking for advice exactly, I think I thought being debt free would make more difference than it has and I am now looking for the next thing to do just not sure what it is as yet. I am sure it will work out eventually and until then I shall doing my washing cos believe me I have ALOT!
Hope the cut and colour went well and good luck with the shoes
xxxNevertheless she persisted.0 -
But I have the philosphy of "I am what am I." AKA the Popeye philosophy...
Sorry Z, but I'm more picturing *John Barrowman belting it out, as in La Cage Aux Folles - that would explain the aching feet & calves from those heels. Hope you're feeling better.
Hope the shopping was therapeutic H. You didn't miss much in the rugby .
* toddles off muttering 'what a waste of a gorgeous man'A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

That's good cos I don't see you as a poor Buffy!
As for John Barrowman in a dress and Z singing 'I am what I am'. Well two diametrically opposed images fighting in my head there. Think I'd better get on with my filing before my head explodes!

Hi guys - buffy you are welcome along with absolutely everyone else to put whatever you want on my diary. Never ever worry about that!!
Cut and colour are fab.....I love them, so £100 well spent there. I didn't buy shoes, although I did see a couple of pairs I liked. Instead I grabbed 20 mins with a friend on a bit of a spur of the moment thing. I'll continue the shoe hunt during the week.
Then went to the pub to watch the football. The match was fab, and such a shame we lost.....we gave ManU a run for their money. Gutted we didn't get a point from it, but hey ho.
Am home for an hour or so then off to a bbq - another of those that I could easily duck out of, but I have ducked out of such a lot of this particular girl's invites this year that I fear that I may not get invited if I don't go todayMy other girlfriends have got reasons not to go, so it will be a case of hoping that some of the others there are my sort of people. If nothing else, it means I can duck out of the next one with less guilt.

I always find I need 'unplanned' time. I purposely do not plan too much - partly because as I was growing up my mum had an illness that varied very much from day to day and I just learned to take each day as it came - some days she was able to go out other days she'd be attached to oxygen - I just took it as 'the norm'. Her moto was to do what she could when she could. Now I feel 'hemmed in' if I have too many things planned - there is no place to be spontaneous - a trip out somewhere taking advantage of the weather or not - maybe just a pampering/thinking time to myself. So I'm wondering if maybe in the rush to keep busy after everything that has happened recently, you haven't allowed time for being 'spontaneous' and being 'Hypno' - not quite sure what gives me the right or qualification to make such judgements LOL - but just how I feel when I'm planned to my high teeth really - I felt this especially as the kids were teenagers having found their own feet - thus giving me more time to think about ME!!!
Happy shoe hunting Hypno - glad you've kept up with the hairdressing tripsJanuary spends - £587.580 -
Hi milann! yes, what you say is true - I did just keep going, and didn't learn that I needed to do some things differently....or not at all. I am learning to do things on the spur of the moment. Sometimes good, sometimes not so good - but that is all part of the learning curve! And of course the children have been a major focus of my life, but at 16 and 17, they really don't need the same sort or amount of attention......taking away some forms of stress, etc, but also giving other elements that need dealing with and learning about - ie time for me
This evening was not so bad.....not all my cup of tea, but enough to make it alright. Glad to be home now - will watch a bit of Xfactor and then head to bed.
Out for a run in the morning....am looking forward to that.

Good for you, Hypno - at this time of reassessment, and experimentation, "all right" is fine! Enjoy the run tomorrow.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Had a lovely run in the sunshine. Really glad I did it as it is several weeks (before my holiday and therefore before this blah period I have been having) since I went out there.
Of course I have been going to the gym regularly recently, but you can't beat running around our gorgeous countryside in the sunshine.
