Hypno, I'm so glad its helping - I do slip into correcting spelling and grammar mistakes very easily - in fact, I did it just then - hey ho.

    Loving the Leonard Cohen quote.

It is certainly helping me recognise what needs doing - and so much of it is so simple that it is easily dealt with once written down and acknowledged.

I've bought a new mindfulness book and cd - so far, (up to chapter 3 and done the first mediation) it could not be more relevant. It is an 8 week programme, so I will get a little further into it before making a recommendation, or otherwise - but it could be the sort of thing peeps want to look for on amazon in due course.

Another bigger, external but still within the family, issue looks like it is also becoming resolved - it will be sometime before it is complete, but steps in the right direction for something that has caused me a fair bit of stress and unhappiness over recent weeks, so that is good too.

And Nana is well - 87 and off on hols tomorrow with her "toy boy" as she describes him (a mere 76). She was asking me if I have gotten myself "romantically involved" yet......it comes to something when my grandmother is having more of a result in that area than I am :rotfl:

No toy boy for me - Zumba with DD is the order of the evening......working on that wiggle rather than last week's wobble!

Well, tis better to wiggle than to wobble but remember weeblies wobble but they dont fall down.

That sounds like your feet are on the path, so step by step, and wait a bit every so often to check on the direction :)

    Enjoy the zumba!

  • my gran is great, she told me a couple of years ago that I didn't need a man to have a baby :rotfl: just came out with it very matter of fact while she was making a cup of tea.

Last time I spoke to her she was telling me she had spoken to two old chaps today on the way to the shops - and her words were "I can still pull 'em you know!"

    hurrah for nans! :j

glad things are gradually working themselves through hypno - I am intrigued by the mindfulness so would love to hear how you get on.

hope you (and a few others in these parts!) get a good night's sleep xx

To help, I have a CD of mindfulness exercises put to one side at Waterstones for me to collect at lunchtime.....obv I can't listen to my own recordings, so the time has come for me to use someone else to help me switch off.

Tut tut five minutes out of debt and you are already not being creative! surely you could have recorded your sessions in a Russian accent to save money!

I even found myself correcting spelling mistakes and any grammatical errors when I read back last night's missive this morning. I'm not so sure that is a particularly healthy trait, but did highlight the strive to perfection I guess, that is part of what I have to address.

    It is all so interlinked!

Try that corrections thing being your job, honestly I do mark my own diaries! Over the summer I found my old diaries from when I was a kid - invariably called Dairies and FULL of mistakes!

It was meant to quote the cool Leonard Cohen quote, oh well! I liked it!

I am glad you have started writing Hypno,

    big hugs in case

    Nevertheless she persisted.

A Russian accent, now why didn't I think of that?
