  • Hypno would any of the alternative therapies that you do help? I don't mean on yourself obviously but do you have any peers who would help you out with any treatments? Maybe you could use some pampering of that kind too.

    Good :A

I fancy trying reiki or indian head massage, I've had many beauty treatments eg facials, massages etc but never tried either of those.

Both are lovely treatments - but very different. Reiki is very good for rebalancing, but can be quite emotional in the process. IHM is one of my favorites to teach, and is more of a treat....but of course like any massage has a whole lot of benefits.

certainly is. I was completely sceptical about it - and went to do the training JUST to prove that it was a load of tosh.

I was my teacher's worst nightmare :rotfl:

Needless to say, I was about to discover all sorts of amazing things, and went on in my own training.

If you get a good person, it is fantastic. If you get a poor one, you will not get anything out of it other than an hour's rest - which although being beneficial, is not how most people want to spend £30-40 a time!!

Hypno I've had a few nights out when I've felt like you did.

I think to be honest if you're looking at women and thinking 'is that what I look like' then the answer is a resounding 'no'. There will always be a number of women, drunk, mutton dressed as lamb, showing both cleavage and leg, flirting with anything in trousers, usually a lot younger than them (or maybe that's just where I live :rotfl:). They are a far cry from the less noticeable women who are dressed well, showing a little bit of leg or cleavage, enjoy male company but don't look & act desperate. I somehow can't see you falling into the former camp (well, maybe very occasionally ;)).

During the week at work, I dress well - Next, M&S, increasingly Hobbs. More classy than high fashion. I often get complimented on what I wear (especially since I lost weight) and do feel good about myself. Come night out though and I don't have a clue what to wear. I go out with girls who wear very trendy clothes and I always feel frumpy & the odd one out. And that's despite them wearing clothes that are too young for them, don't always suit them and certainly wouldn't suit me. I really don't know why I feel so insecure, but I do 1.gif. So, can't help you apart from saying it's very common :o
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

When I was doing my reflexology training there was a young woman who had done reiki training. I was going through a very tough time at the time as my Dad was in the last few months of his life. I turned up to class one night in a bit of a state. She offered to do a bit of reiki as I was complaining that my shoulders were aching. It felt amazing at the time but within a week I was very, very poorly. Ended up being diagnosed with sceptic tonsillitis and lots of other things. I often wondered if the reiki had anything to do with it. I am sure it didn't but I did enjoy that 20 minutes prior to my class.

Oh I never finished my reflexology course as I ended up too ill :)
