But I had a bottle and a half of red, red has always been my tipple, and I enjoyed it last night. I needed to it to chill as I'm studying at the mo, exams in June but it's making me really grumpy, not fair on the other half, can't wait for the exam to be done then I'll cheer up I hope.

Good luck with the studying rusty, it's hard now but I'm sure it'll be worthwhile in the long term.

Red's my preferred tipple too. Last night I opened a bottle and I really didn't enjoy it. It was a half decent Wolfblass so that wasn't the reason.

Finishing April with 24 AFD but it's costing me a fortune in Horlicks (though compared to the alcohol it's nothing). I reckon I've also saved about £70 this month - which is all to the good!

    Here's to an AF May!!

It will mean me changing the way I do things, who I mix with, and how I am as a person. But as I don't like the person I am when I'm drunk, it has to be done.

    Hi Rachel

All my love to you. Life stinks sometimes. I just want to say that I dont know what you're like when you're drunk but reading the post you've written whilst sober it seems to me you are a very lovely person indeed :)

    Be kind to yourself
    Take care

    22 for April please Shaggy!

Good to see you Miss Piggy :T.
  • I don't drink a lot but like tonight, the weather is warm and we have a barbeque and I buy a bottle of wine and before I know it the whole bottle has gone> I wake up tomorrow with a bad head and spend the whole day regretting it . I haven't done anything silly but I wish that I hadn't bothered. So I have decided that tomorrow ie 1st May is day 1 of no alcohol . Wish me luck. Have managed 3 months last year so know that I have the willpower.....

Happy May everyone! I'm up bright and early because I started work early at 7am and I was af last night so that's me finishing on 15 afds for April and now I'm feeling nice and positive that I'm going to be alcohol free today. I feel a million times better than I did yesterday. Welcome Karen to the thread-it's really good at keeping you on the straight and narrow! Well done on not drinking at the street party Lorna Doone. I wish I could have been that disciplined!
