14 AFDS for me please-I reckon this is probably it for the month as will have a drink at the weekend in moderation. Hoping for a better month next month as I also want to lose weight for my hols next month. will check my diary and make May's target. welcome to all the newbies. Mrs R-the thing i really really hate about drinking in excess is the awful feeling that I have done something wrong the night before-eg said something horrible. I talk 19 to the dozen over people in an obnoxious fashion and say silly things. I then spend the next day in misery and paranoia that I have made a complete idiot of myself. is mr r in denial about his hangovers do you think-you've mentioned before that he sometimes has the shakes the next day which must feel dreadful. Does he drink through his hangovers like my friends dh used to-he used to be at teh pub for a medicinal pint at 11 to stop the shakes (he is now a recovering alcoholic). This is just my experience-the disgust I feel for myself the next day after drinking heavily is spurring me on to change.

Declaring another AF day please bearacus and Shaggy :D

Am feeling tired and grumpy today, don't know why, so a bath and an early night is in order.

Jo nice to 'see' you - sorry things are still not great. Sober is definatley the best option when things are tricky.

    Have a good evening everyone,

    Mari xx

Lovely supportive chat on here today. What a lovely group this is.:)

Sorry to hear about your problem jo, so glad you're planning some AFness. I'm sure it'll help you cope.

I've decided to stick with my usual target of 10 for May please Shaggy.

Unlikely to have any more AF days this month, so

14 AF for April please Shaggy and 3 for the School Night challenge Bearacus.

    Enjoy the long weekend all.
