Hey All
I have been meaning to check in for ages, but a certain little person takes up a large amount of time!!
It's nice to see everyone doing so well, and having some newbies join us.
I wish I could give you some good AF news from the Rainman house, but unfortunately not. Aparently I have to wait until after Christmas when he has "got it in his mind that that is when he'll stop". Yeah right, just like he was going to stop "once I got pregnant" or "once baby arrives". It's just stalling for time. I try to be supportive but I just don't believe a word of it.
Oh well, it's not my fault that he won't be able to remember large parts of BabyR's 1st months because of drink. But if he ruins her 1st Christmas I will be livid

My DH drinks every night too but I found I can ignore it. To be fair, he doesn't encourage me to join him. In fact, he seems shocked these days if I have a drink midweek. He's the same if he sees me eating rubbish too. He's become my conscience ever since I started SW.:)
He tells me he's really proud of me and occasionally says he's having an AFD but it rarely happens. The thing about him is he knows when to stop whereas I've always been an 'all or nothing' sort of gal.
Awwww, that's really nice

On my phone again and it won't let me see more than this page. But I think I'm on 6 for Nov. Not as good as I wanted. But to be fair on myself, I have really cut down even on my not af days.Need to start again0 -

Have a great day everyone, I'm off to the supermarket to stock up on lime & soda !

It works doesn't it? I bought a lime too when I was at the supermarket, 30p and it's lasting all week in the fridge. I drink lime and soda from a nice glass with ice and a slice. I also find that Rose's Lime Cordial is worth the extra money.

8 Af please Shaggy and 2 for SNC please Bearacus
Always feel much better when ive got an Af Monday under my belt it seems to keep me on the AF road for the rest of the week. I find that if i dont pour a glass of wine with dinner then i wont have one later on in the eve so my danger zone on school nights are before 7.30pm.It’s not what you have in your life but who you have in your life that counts0 -

Thanks Maman, Unfortunately neither of us are very good at knowing when to stop. We have admitted to ourselves that we both have a problem with alcohol and in a strange sort of way it has been a unifying aspect of our relationship and defines who we are to other people. To our neighbours we are "the boozy sociable couple from number XX". I think my DH is proud of the fact that I can lay off the booze for 3 days a week but he cannot and it is easier for him if I do what I used to do and drink too.

It's odd, If I am eating out I always have wine with my meal but when eating at home (apart from Sunday lunch) I hardly ever do. I'll drink while I'm cooking (a la Keith Floyd) and then again after I've finished eating but I invariably drink water with my meals. Maybe I should try to associate wine with eating; I would drink a lot less.0 -
Well AF again today so 8 for Nov challenge and 2 for SNC please.0
