  • 1 more afd. feeling proud of myself. went to Dads and came away tearful, he is so stubborn and wont speak to any of my other siblings apart from the one who doesnt live in this country (think Hyacinth Bucket on acid).
Spent several hours with a friend, cooking and enjoying the rest of the day. she is my old time drinking buddy, she managed to drink a whole bottle of wine, I abstained. I suspect that this friendship may possibly not stand the test of me not drinking or smoking but theres not a great deal I can do about it.

:T:T:T that's amazing! managing to stay AF while your friend drank a whole bottle is will power to be proud of! If there was a 'pat on the back' smilie I'd post it (I'm sure Shaggy has one;)).

    AFD 7 for me tonight

Had one drink Fri night and one drink Sat night a very diluted sake and tonic water with a little elderflower cordial - seems 1 is enough for me these day and as it was quite weak strength that was good too

I'll be cracking up at least another 4 AFDs next week so I'll catch up with up with you all later next week

Good to hear you've got the drinking well under control sparkles. I'm not familiar with 'sake', is that Japanese?

morning all, late to bed and early morning wakefulness is driving me insane. at least I slept last night when I finally nodded off.
I have an appointment with the estate agents today. I know its hardly the right climate, but I really want to sell up and have a fresh start now. New chapter and all. Gave lost interest in rattling around in a house that is far too big for me and is taking all of my meagre earnings to maintain and heat. I did the week day only lodger thing earlier in the year which worked quite well, but the general shabbiness of the house puts people off I think. No money to even throw a lick of paint on the walls is very disheartening.
any suggestions? I could do with a little project to keep me active and my mind straying to drink.
Have a great day, hope the sunshines today to keep our mood lifted.

Morning all! Lovely and sunny here but feeling really tired as I slept badly (DH snoring with Hayfever).
Bearacus, I have only one more for the challenge - went to a neighbours on Saturday and had a wine. So I did weds, thus fri and sun AF. Thaks for settingupthe challenge. Can we do a school night challenge?

Shaggy, I have another one to add to April, I think I already declared friday.
Another positive benefit of AFness is that I have lost a kilo in weight - I've also been doing slimming world so I'm sure that's helped too!
    Trying to keep in budget.

I finished off my bottle of wine last night - 4 units. Back on the wagon tonight.

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.
