AF for me tonight please Shaggy and 3 for the snc x

    PrettyKitty-
I really have noticed a difference in myself :). Im able to do more than I could when I drunk and have pushed myself to do things I would never have done before. I thought alcohol gave me confidence but all it did was push my insecurities to the forefront.Im not saying I will never drink again but at this moment Im much happier without drink. HTH and good luck with your journey xx

Hi Everyone - thank you for your lovely words of support.

I've had the most awful few days.....have no idea what went wrong...I've been in total self destruct mode....a litre of Bacardi in just 3 days . No reason whatsoever for the binge....just spent each and everyday waiting for 6.00pm so that I could 'get on it'. The hangovers in the morning have been really dreadful, I've been feeling so ill but obviously not enough to stop me pouring a drink as the witching hour sets in :(

The good news is that I seem to have managed to clamber back on the wagon tonight and glugging away on sparkling water as I type.....looking forward to waking up with a clear head in the morning!!

The most frightening thing for me is seeing just how ravaged I look after just a few days of binge drinking...what is it doing to my body??

I need to get back into my Sunday to Thursday routine...I'm not blaming the BH weekend but that extra day off did seem to be the trigger. I am AF tonight so declaring 19 AFD's for August please shaggy and pledging 18 for September.

Thanks again for the support xx

15 days for August, please, Shaggy, thanks.

And back on the more focussed AFD-ing after the 'summer' holidays.

  • I'm AF tonight, so declaring 13 for August please shaggy. :)I'm a bit annoyed with myself as I poured a glass last night and only had a few mouthfuls before tipping the rest down the drain, could've declared an extra day if I'd thought about it properly! Oh well. I'm dead proud of myself for just doing what I've done, I haven't had that many AF days in a month for years and years, and I'm only 26. I'm looking forward to upping it every month. :D

:Tthat's brilliant May, well done you!!

I almost wobbled tonight. Had DD1 round for dinner, so made it a bit special and would have liked a glass or two. Fortunately she doesn't drink at all so no pressure there. DH offered me one but I said I'd leave it a while and see. Only tea has passed my lips!:D (well and lasagne and salad and two jackets!)

So I'm calling it on 14 for August please Shaggy and 2 for the SNC thanks Bearacus.

And congratulations to all on your August (and even august;)) acheivements.:A

  • 20 for me thanks Shaggy, have scrambled to target by the skin of my teeth again. Must up my game for September.

The jury's out on Arsene's trolley dash last night. Why on earth did he leave it so late??

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.
