Not a good night for me
For some stupid reason I thought as I've been so good over last 10 days, and my fav prog Masterchef was coming on, poured myself a large bic&coke, then another, then another..... along with a chaser of three bags of crisps..... had a terrible night's sleep, waking at 4.30 for headache tablet and I've still got a hellish sore head. Just goes to show, you're never safe, old habits indeed..... April tomorrow, so back on the wagon tonight.

Well done :T Good isn't it. I'm on 136 days now.
1 more AFD last night please Shaggy. Went to the gym so no temptation there. Going to join SW tonight, so can see lots of AFness coming my way.
The thing is, the only drink I like is lager, and it's the volume that is the problem. Also what with giving up smoking, and trying to lose weight too, I think I'm just going to rapidly cut down drinking and try to stop binge drinking when I do.
Before I started reading this thread (Jan), I only made a concious effort not to drink on a Monday. Now I'm not drinking more often than I am. Just need to learn to control it when I do. It's probably about once a month that my drinking gets out of hand (which is once a month too many). I just need to drink in moderation, which is what I do most of the time. I had some wine last night. Back on the wagon tonight, else I'll miss my target! I have got yoga so that should make me feel all virtuous after.
Target for April 20 AFD. This will be interesting as the children are on holiday so I will be out of my routine. DH is also on holiday and we are going away for a few days. But I would like to still stick to 2 nights a week max.0 -

I did the same thing - well, with a lovely bottle of sauvignon blanc  So missed my target by one day and used up my units for this week - and added a load of units onto my monthly total  I haven't given into cravings on a week night for months  Oh well, onwards and upwards - as our friend RA says, 'constant vigilence'.
Total for March is 24 AFDs, please Shaggy, thanksJan: 24/23 Feb: 21/22 March: 24/250 -

Hello,
Just to pop in. I have now been AF today included for 92 days. The longer I go the easier it gets. My meds are kicking in, had week off from work just to chill and little by little getting on top of things that used to make me to find ways to numb myself. All good.
So it can be done but it is easier to do if you have something positive to fill the void. I have now a new addiction, I can be found from the cross stitch cafe.
Hope everyone is well and getting where they want to be."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

I managed to lose a whopping 10.5lbs in 28 days doing the 'Elimination Diet' - and it's not TOO awful either. Basically you can have anything at all other than the following:
No Wheat
No red meat (unless it's organic)
No sugar or sweeteners (including honey)
No caffeine
No E Numbers
No Dairy (other than natural yoghurt and butter)
No alcohol (not sure how I managed that on my current form, but I did!)
You have to try and eat every 4 hours (when you are awake), drink about 2.5 litres of water per day.... and stick to it for 28 days - but it works wonders! No need to watch calories when doing this either.
Good luck shifting those pounds!!
